River Khwae Bridge tours

Kanchanaburi has a precious history that is worth discovering. Travel was comfortable because of the spacious vans we used. Lunch place offered affordable food. Guide was jolly and polite. Beautiful view at the Death Railway and humbling experience learning about its dark history.

Our family had an amazing time visiting the Safari Park and Death Railway. It was such a fun and unforgettable experience! The absolute highlight was feeding the giraffes—getting so close to them was a thrill for both the kids and adults. We also visited the historic River Kwai Bridge and made sure to take a one-station train ride. Traveling along the cliffside on the vintage tracks offered breathtaking views and a real sense of history. This trip is perfect for families looking for a mix of wildlife adventure and culture. Highly recommended!

Totally recommend this day trip. It was a very long day, but absolutely worth the journey to see these amazing historic sights. Tour guide was very professional but a little hard to understand (no issue however). It was a small group travelling by mini van. Plenty of toilet and snack stops. The giraffes at the safari park was a real highlight along with the train ride on the death railway. Meet up point was easy to find, check in easy and tour arrived back about 8pm. Highly recommend this tour but be prepared for a long day.

Highly recommend! I was concerned I wouldn’t make it to the meeting point in time but arrived early. I’m glad I visited the meeting point the day beforehand to ease my anxiety. Unfortunately my hotel was outside the pickup areas. The guide & driver were both very friendly with great communication. I’m not sure if offered with every trip but we were able to take a boat from the JEATH War Museum to the River Kwai Bridge for 200thb each and I highly recommend this if offered. The museum and bridge were very interesting and Erawan National Park is BEAUTIFUL! Due to chronic pain I was only able to walk to level 3 waterfall but I was very impressed with levels 1-3. Swimming was lovely however the process to get life jackets and record food/drink was confusing and I would’ve preferred to not have a jacket. Lunch was tasty & a nice chance to get to know the others on the trip. Its a big day & the drive back is long but there is 5G all the way with a local eSIM or you can take a nap. Book it!!!

Super highly recommended! Our tour guide Katie was so accommodating and patient in helping us navigating our stops. She was so nice in answering our questions. We booked a private tour and it was so worth it because we had the entire car to ourselves and they were ok with picking us up and dropping us off at the hotel. The itinerary was so thoughtful too, we learned a lot about Thai history and culture and being able to wrap it all up with an afternoon tea session was the cherry on top. 💕

This was my second trip to Kanchanaburi. This time, because I was traveling with my parents, I opted for a private car hire and Route C. The Honda Accord served the three of us, so it was spacious and comfortable. Although the driver only spoke basic English, which was a slight limitation in his tour guidance, he was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip, which was very appreciated. Furthermore, we were allowed to decide how much time to spend at each stop, and even at the final stop on the River Kwai Bridge, he didn't rush us, allowing us to enjoy the scenery at our own pace. The views from the boat was amazing and it was a beautiful day to be out under the river Kwai. At the pitstop revisited, a beautiful café we had cakes and drinks. Next-door they sold boat noodles. we also had a wonderful view of the river and mountains. we took a tricycle to the nearby cave. It was enjoyable

if you want a “quick” day trip.. traffic allowing.. then one of these small bus tours are fun. hit the main spots, transfers to each tourist spot, some fun facts along the way.. quick pictures and stop offs. It’s a great way to have a stress free tour for $60 ish great value. one of the locations cost 500baht - $20 entry alone! all included in your tour price. next time I’ll do the influencer tour it was less crowded as we had a full bus for the standard tour. Tour pro tip get to know your fellow passangers fast don’t wait until 20 mins before the tour is over
