Gold Coast

We met by the side of the road. Several companies had canoes loaded and were parked on the street, ready to go, so I showed my Klook reservation screen and asked around to see if it was their tour. Since the map location was approximate, I recommend actively asking any car with canoes loaded. The tour started at 7:30 AM, and they were there promptly before the scheduled time and called out my reservation name. It's a little nerve-wracking to meet the guide, but it's easy to find them, so please head there with confidence. Also, in my case, the day before, I received a message from the guide via Gmail suggesting that since the weather wasn't looking good, I should change my 10:30 AM start time to 7:30 AM. They also told me that snorkeling would offer a clearer view in the morning. Although I was worried about waking up early, I changed it because I wanted to see the beautiful ocean. I was touched by how kind they were to proactively contact me based on the weather. This email exchange made me feel confident that I would enjoy myself at the location. Four women gathered, and I rode in a canoe with one other person, while the other two rode in single canoes. They asked if I preferred a single or a pair, and if it was my first time, and then paired us up accordingly, which was great. They explained the photo route and the flow of the activity, so even if my English wasn't perfect, I understood everything without any problems. Once we started, it was a lot of fun, and the guide explained about the birds and shared various stories. They also took photos while we were canoeing, which created lifelong memories. They lent us waterproof backpacks, wetsuits, and snorkels. I definitely think a towel and swimsuit are essential. Also, there are no changing facilities, so I recommend wearing your swimsuit beforehand. We saw many beautiful fish in the ocean. Those near the rocks and those in slightly deeper areas were truly beautiful. Other companies were also snorkeling in the same area, and there were boats in slightly deeper waters, but we enjoyed it without any issues. This is definitely one of the activities I will do again when I come to the Gold Coast.

Cam, our driving instructor, was really nice and patient. it was a surreal experience and the good was also great. Staff took great care of us all. A few points to note, too many people on the boat with many we has to take turns getting into the choppy ocean after lunch. Not really an ideal dive option. Secondly the evening tea should have had the pastries rather than morning as we were all getting ready to dive into the ocean, so food wasn’t on our minds…

The experience was fantastic! The itinerary is well-organized, and I was grateful that the sequence of the activities (sandboarding, kayaking, snorkelling) I was assigned to was perfect because the sand, sweat, and sunscreen were washed off during the snorkelling, haha. We had an early lunch, before noon. The DIY wrap was quite filling, so don't worry about whether you have the strength to play, haha.

Scanning the QR code for e-tickets was incredibly convenient and fast for entry! This time, I was lucky enough to see a massive humpback whale leap out of the water, along with playful dolphins swimming alongside and a stunning sunset over the sea. The scenery was truly breathtaking and incredibly therapeutic! The boat had clean restrooms, and although the indoor cabin was a bit stuffy and warm, and those prone to seasickness are advised to take motion sickness medication in advance and spend time on the deck for fresh air, seeing the whales firsthand made it all absolutely worthwhile. Compared to other paid tours in Australia, which often cost one to two thousand dollars, this one offers excellent value for money. We chose the 4 PM departure, and it was fantastic to see both the sunset and the night view. The scenery along the riverbanks, with houses built on boats, was beautiful!

All the staff were polite, and the singer was excellent, knowing how to create a great atmosphere. There isn't much of a night view on the Gold Coast, so if I had to choose again, I'd opt for the lunch cruise. I've been on a dinner cruise in Sydney before, and both the scenery and food were noticeably higher quality there.

This was my first snorkeling experience, and I had a wonderful time. Before we set off, a questionnaire was given to each traveler to assess their swimming and diving experience. Since I don't know how to swim and had no prior snorkeling experience, I tried snorkeling under the guidance of our leader, Yuji. Throughout the process, I deeply appreciated Yuji's meticulousness and attention to detail; he explained all the safety precautions very clearly. As for the food on the island, I personally found it delicious, and the other facilities and environment were kept very neat and clean (especially the restrooms, which had no unpleasant odors at all). This was truly a fantastic trip. Thank you, Yuji, for your encouragement, which helped me successfully unlock snorkeling.

Beautiful sunset, slow ride. I love watching goldcoast pov from the water also we're very lucky because of the weather. Beautiful sky and there's free snacks too!
