Fantastic 5.0
It's a pineapple cake that you just mix, put in a mold, and bake. However, even mixing it required a bit of skill, and I enjoyed figuring out how to make it look nice when putting it into the mold. I also enjoyed talking with people from the same country.

This was my first visit to Xpark Aquarium, and booking tickets through Klook was incredibly convenient. Not only was the purchase process simple, but the price was also better than buying at the venue. The e-ticket allowed for direct entry by scanning the QR code, which saved a lot of time. The aquarium's layout was very distinctive, with each exhibition area incorporating lighting and sound effects to create an immersive viewing experience. Popular exhibits like the penguins, jellyfish, and seals were all very captivating, and every corner offered great photo opportunities, making it perfect for couples, families, or friends. The environment inside was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly, making the visit very smooth. I recommend visiting on a weekday, as there are fewer crowds, allowing for a more relaxed appreciation of the various marine life. Overall, it was a highly recommended trip, and I would definitely purchase tickets through Klook again if I have the chance.

After more than 20 years, I visited Window on China Theme Park again, mainly because my girlfriend wanted to go. The park is actually quite small; you can see everything in an afternoon. The models seem quite old, but they are well-maintained. Some areas have become overgrown with weeds, but employees regularly clear and tidy them up, which I noticed. As for the rides, besides the 'Boomerang' (similar to Leofoo Village and Lihpao Land's 'Volcano Adventure' but much taller, which neither my girlfriend nor I dared to ride), the other attractions are mostly geared towards children. There's a kid-friendly version of 'The Plunge.' However, the 'Crazy UFO' ride made my head hurt so much I almost threw up. Regarding the architectural models, my girlfriend was quite impressed. They have the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Presidential Office Building, and the Statue of Liberty. We also played a fortune-telling game and fed fish. Some areas clearly show that the facilities are very old, but fortunately, the restrooms are all clean and have been renovated. Overall, the trip was worthwhile. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, parking for scooters at Window on China is free! That's a huge plus – no parking fee for scooters. Window on China gets a thumbs up for that, and there are plenty of parking spaces. It's a decent place, but it's really more suitable for parents bringing their children, as the facilities inside are primarily designed for kids.

Fantastic 5.0
Our trip to Dongyanshan was a great experience. We bought e-tickets before heading out, and at the entrance, we just scanned the QR code for instant entry, which was convenient and saved time! As soon as we entered the park, we were surrounded by towering Japanese cedar forests. The air was incredibly fresh and full of phytoncides, making deep breaths feel wonderfully refreshing. Surprisingly, there were very few mosquitoes and other insects, making it a comfortable walk. However, we occasionally encountered bees patrolling nearby, but calmly avoiding them was sufficient. A key point to note is that the trails and wooden steps can become very slippery when it rains. We strongly recommend wearing non-slip shoes and bringing a hiking pole to ensure safety by walking slowly and carefully. Overall, it's highly recommended as a great place to get close to nature in northern Taiwan!

Lala Mountain is a great place to escape the summer heat in Taoyuan. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park's giant cypress forest, where the gentle slopes of the trails make for an easy walk. As you hike, breathe in the phytoncides from the mountain, cleansing your mind and body, and experience the beauty of the magnificent natural surroundings! The park also features plants such as green maple, red maple, and beech, forming a highly representative forest ecosystem in the mid-altitude mountains of northern Taiwan. Every November and December, the green leaves turn from yellow to red, creating a uniquely romantic and poetic scene. The park is also an important habitat for wildlife such as the Taiwan blue magpie, yellow-bellied fantail, and Formosan serow.

Buying through Klook also included a complimentary taiyaki snack, which I thought was really delicious ❤️ The park is actually quite small, and you can finish walking around and taking photos in about half an hour. It's a great place to stop by for a break. The admission ticket can also be fully redeemed for souvenirs, which were packaged very nicely and tasted good too. There were also plenty of free samples. Overall, the experience was quite nice 🥰

The tickets were very easy to use, and the price was great. The overall quality of the environment was excellent, and the kids had a lot of fun. They even got to make their own colored pens, which was a fun activity. The DIY activities looked fantastic. It's definitely worth coming back again!

What to know before visiting Taoyuan

What to expect in Taoyuan

The Things to Do scene in Taoyuan is led by Zoos & aquariums, Playgrounds, Theme parks, Parks & gardens and Museums, a spread that suits families and outdoor-focused days as well as short indoor visits. That mix means you can plan either relaxed park time or higher-energy attractions without needing long transfers. Activity demand peaks in June, and the quietest month is September, so booking the same experience is generally easier in September than in June.

How to choose what to book here

Deciding between convenience and variety is the main choice a traveler faces when booking in Taoyuan, and it guides how you balance cost and experience. The category with the widest range, Playgrounds, runs from USD 7 entry-level to USD 20 at the upper end, so shopping around can yield cheaper or more premium options. Parks & gardens are the most affordable way in for filling gaps, with a typical price of USD 3, while Theme parks sit at the pricier end with a typical price of USD 22. Museums and Zoos & aquariums fall in between; their ranges are narrower so extra searching changes price less dramatically than with Playgrounds.

When travelers from the United States book

Most travelers book very close to their visit, with a typical lead time of 1 day ahead, and the earliest planners booking about 4 days ahead. With demand peaking in June, that short cushion matters most if you plan to visit then.

How prices compare across categories

The table below shows typical prices and the usual price ranges for Taoyuan’s top categories, so you can place a budget before choosing.

Category Typical Price Usual Range
Zoos & aquariums USD 19 USD 11 – 20
Playgrounds USD 15 USD 7 – 20
Theme parks USD 22 USD 16 – 23
Parks & gardens USD 3 USD 2 – 3
Museums USD 10 USD 7 – 14

Typical price is the median paid on Klook; the usual range covers the middle half of bookings, so cheaper and pricier options exist outside it; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.
