It's a 15-minute walk from Anguk Station. While strolling through the town, admiring the retro diners, barbershops, beauty salons, trendy cafes, select shops, and cute general stores, I quickly came upon a grand hanok gate. I arrived at a wonderful kimchi culture experience center! There was also a courtyard in front of the hanok-style residence. Upon entering the building, the instructor greeted us with aprons and omija tea. After receiving an explanation of the kimchi-making process, we moved to the adjacent cooking room. People from Asian countries, a woman from India, and two Japanese parent-child pairs learned how to make kimchi! Ingredients and seasonings were arranged on a long cooking table so that each person could start right away. With excitement and a bit of nervousness, we shredded the radishes while the instructor explained the next steps fluently in English and Japanese, making kimchi along with us. They sealed the finished kimchi neatly for us to take home as a souvenir, and I was happy that my family could enjoy it! Everyone, if you have the chance, you should definitely experience it. Experiential tours truly enrich the heart! When you come on a trip, you should do something that you can only do here.

Fantastic service and experience ! Firstly, the introductory of the 4 korean dishes and welcome drink and snacks upon arrival. Secondly, the demonstration of the dish then cooking afterwards. Thirdly, the time to eat your meal per 2 dishes. Fourthly, the guidance/assistance provided for each individual for a small group class— we were 8 in one class. Lastly, the cooking class was good for even a NO /LIMITED cooking skills beginner—like myself. The amazing support, guidance, and confidence booster staffs were a great motivation to enjoy the class.

My son and I just attended this cooking class and had an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, well-organized, and perfect for learning. The instructor was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also patient, engaging, and great at breaking down each step in a way that felt easy to follow—even for beginner like my son, Lucas. We got plenty of hands-on practice, and I loved that the instructor shared the history of the dishes we made. By the end of the class, I felt confident recreating the dishes at home—and the food we made was genuinely delicious! Overall, this class was a perfect blend of learning, fun, and great food. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their cooking skills or simply enjoy an unique and enjoyable experience. Hope Chef Ricky creates new recipe when I return next year.🙏

I brought four teenagers for a youth group event. We had an amazing time! The teacher was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and took her time to explain everything carefully. The teens hadn't done much cooking before and everyone succeeded safely, and the food was delicious! Everything taught in perfect English as well ^^

We've booked the market tour + cooking class for the second time in 2 years, and it was incredibly good once again. The market tour provides great insights into Korean ingredients and local eating habits. The ingredients purchased there were then used in the cooking class. Minseon, the instructor, is fully committed, explains everything well, and answers all questions with passion and expertise. The class is a lot of fun, only extremely high-quality ingredients are used, and afterwards you receive a bound cookbook with the recipes we cooked, and a few more great cooking inspirations. All in all, it's a course that we can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone interested, as it wonderfully completes a visit to Seoul/Korea.

We had an amazing experience, Jiny Is so sweet and funny, you can really feel how passionate she Is about cooking, we had a lot of fun and we learn a lot of delicious dishes! The experience was really valuable, if I come back to Seoul I would gladly did the experience again. I definetly reccomend doing this experience, we did such a wonderful memories. There are four courses in total, which is very filling. If you can't finish, they provide boxes for takeout, which is very thoughtful. The instructor is very nice and explains the teaching steps in detail, making it really easy! Coach: Teaches attentively and can communicate in English. Experience: The duration is just right.

The cooking class is absolutely an incredible experience to take a deep dive into the Korean temple cuisine! The staff was amazing and the dish that we got to prepare and enjoy was delicious. I would do it again!
