My daughter and I had a wonderful experience learning how to make kimchi from scratch. The ingredients were prepared for each station so we did all the chopping and layering the ingredients between the leaves of the napa cabbage. It was a small class so we got to meet other people traveling as well. We got to take home the kimchi and cant wait to make several dishes with it. Kimchi tofu stew, kimchi fried rice and as a side dish. The class was less than an hour so we were able to fit it in to our busy schedule. We also had delicious kimchi pancake after the class was completed. I'm happy we took the class and definitely recommend to a anyone wanting to learn how to make kimchi.

This cooking class was a huge highlight of our trip to Korea! Our chef was not only incredibly talented but also so accommodating, making the entire process feel seamless. We didn’t just follow recipes; we received explicit, easy-to-follow instructions that still allowed for creativity.
Beyond the food, we loved learning about the cultural significance behind the ingredients and techniques. We prepared an authentic Korean meal, a main dish, and a variety of side dishes (banchan), which were all spectacular. There was so much food we couldn't even finish it all! If you are in the area, this is a must-do. Highly recommended :)

Park was an excellent cooking host. The traditional Hanok provided a great atmosphere for the class. Park was very knolegable but also patient with those that had little cooking background - adjusting the pace and helping when needed. The food / menu was delicious. I have done a few other cooking classes during my travels and this was one of my favorites. HIGHLY recommend.

Definitely a highlight of our trip! A wonderful experience and so fun to learn how to make yummy Korean dishes together! It was easy to follow and do as a small group. it's nice also to have a history behind the location and food, as well as sitting down to eat together. we also did the tour at the end, which was really interesting, despite the rain! Jiny is a lovely and kind teacher/guide. I recommend taking this experience when you are in Korea!

The best and most unique experience we had in Korea! The bibimbap we made was super delicious, even though we were beginners at cooking. It’s all thanks to our teacher,Chef Esda. She’s so nice, friendly, and very patient in teaching.
We’ll definitely book this activity again and try a different dish when we come back!

I cannot reccomend chef pano enough. this experience was truly a cultural exchange. chef pano was very attentive and engaging. His studio was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The stroll through the market was so fun and interesting! Chef Pano even bought some chicken feet for us to try because we mentioned it. This was such a beautiful afternoon getting to know the chef and sharing a little about us too. Thank you Chef for a wonderful introduction to Korean cuisine!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Pheobe and Sue were so nice and welcoming, providing us with a tour of Mangwon market where we saw different things and bought ingredients needed to make our food! We even got to try kimchi jeon (pancake) & buchu jeon ,, sooo yummy!!

The experience was great. The monk described the practices of temple food in Korea for about 30 minutes, and it was all live translated. After that, he demonstrated what we were going to cook, and then it was our turn to cook and eat it. The cooking was done in groups of four. The whole class took about 1h and 30 minutes.

A must have experience for your trip! To start, you are in a beautiful historic neighborhood. Small class size (10 people) allows the instructor Sam to familiarize with everybody as well as communication between each other. Was impressed with the class’ diversity with country of origin. Plenty knowledge shared from Sam and laughs had with one another. Feel good knowing the leftover kimchi you make goes directly to impoverished citizens. But you also get to taste your own creation on its own as well, plus cooking pancake with aged kimchi complimented with pork and tofu.
