Things to do in Kamakura

Allan was an outstanding tour guide who demonstrated exceptional energy and professionalism throughout the entire experience. He was engaging, well-prepared, and highly knowledgeable, delivering information in a way that was both informative and entertaining. His enthusiasm created a positive and welcoming atmosphere, keeping the group attentive and involved at all times. I joined the Kamakura, Enoshima, and Yokohama tour and it was a wonderful experience. Since the tour starts later in the morning, I was able to see Yokohama beautifully lit up at night, which was a highlight. Our guide Lee was amazing, very helpful, friendly, and supportive throughout the day, which I especially appreciated as a solo traveler. During the free time in Yokohama, I explored Chinatown, which was gorgeous and full of delicious food to try. One thing to note is that the train can get very crowded, which is completely outside the tour company’s control, but it is good for other travelers to be prepared. Time management is also important because there are several stops, so plan ahead and prioritize what you want to see. Overall, I definitely recommend this tour. Big thanks to tour guide Lee for making the day enjoyable and for being my hero and helping me.

Initially, we considered traveling independently, but later decided to sign up for a day tour, which was definitely the right choice. I highly recommend these types of day tours. Although the time spent at each location is limited, you can most effectively use your time to visit the highlights, greatly saving yourself the time of figuring out directions and waiting for transportation. Our tour guide, Allen, was great! He's very professional and experienced, planning everything well and providing a wealth of information. It was a very enjoyable day trip. All photos must be under 3MB. I won't upload any classic photos. However, the Line group that the tour guide added temporarily was very convenient and efficient, especially when taking a tour bus with tourists from various countries mixed with locals and traveling on the Enoden line in separate train cars, which was really exciting (tourists should pay attention and be aware of their disembarkation station, and can't just zone out because they're on a tour).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Day Trip from Tokyo – Highly Recommend This Kamakura and Enoshima day tour was outstanding from start to finish. The itinerary was well-paced and thoughtfully planned, giving us enough time at each stop without feeling rushed. Highlights included Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, strolling Komachi-dori Street, the serene beauty of Hasedera Temple, and seeing the Great Buddha up close, truly iconic. Ending the day in Enoshima was the perfect contrast, with coastal views, shrines, and ocean paths that made the experience even more memorable. Transportation was smooth, timing was spot on, and the self-guided structure gave us flexibility while still being very organized. Everything ran exactly as advertised. No negatives, this was a great value and an easy, stress-free way to see some of the best sights outside Tokyo. I would book this again without hesitation.

Driver Liu was very accommodating and understanding. As im bringing an elderly along, he is very patient and help us find places with slops and lifts. Pick up and drop off was timely as well. Will definitely book again when i come to Tokyo!

It is a really value for money day trip! we visit many places around Mt. Fuji in a day. The best part is we could see my Fuji clearly today! Our guide Taiyo is very organised and professional. His instructions are clear and straightforward. He also shows initiative by helping everyone take photos whenever he can. Super helpful!

Serina is very thoughtful, always attentive to our needs, and meticulously arranges every aspect of the itinerary. Throughout the trip, she provided detailed explanations of the unique features of each attraction, which helped us better understand them. She managed the time very well, ensuring that we were neither rushed nor short on time to appreciate each attraction, and that we didn't miss any important sights, making the entire travel experience very pleasant and fulfilling.

Our tour guide, Sakura, is really like Sakuragi Hanamichi from Slam Dunk! 😂😂😂 He can freely switch between Chinese, English, and Japanese, which is amazing. His explanations of the sights were precise, and he knew exactly what kind of stories I wanted to hear. 😁 Our driver, Mr. Wang, also had excellent driving skills, and I slept very well on the bus. Seeing the fireworks from the boat requires a lottery, and unfortunately, our group drew second to last, so we couldn't get a good spot to watch. A friendly reminder: the view of the fireworks from the top deck is obstructed by the ship's equipment, so maybe the stern of the second deck would be the best viewing spot (but I'm not sure if every boat has the same setup).
