- The operator is not responsible or liable for any changes made to data speed or usage. You will still be charged the agreed upon fee during your rental period
- Under the Fair Usage Policy, data speed and usage may be limited for users who process large amounts of data in a short period. This is at the discretion of the subscribed telecommunications company and may occur without prior notice
- Data limit as per Data Plan in Gigabyte (GB); therefore, it is under Fair Usage Policy (FUP) - unlimited data speed will go up to 128 kbps. Excessive usage may cause the data plan to be suspended without notice to prevent data usage abuse based on the local network policies
Important Notes
- Please ensure that you have an eSIM compatible and network-unlocked device, and travel itinerary is confirmed
- Data plan validity starts immediately when eSIM is installed (Expiry date - 45 days from the purchase date)
- You may install eSIM before traveling (before your flight) or, at your destination when you need it
- To successfully install eSIM, a stable Internet connection is required
- All data plans (4G/3G speed) will thereafter follow unlimited data under *FUP for the duration of the validity plan
- eSIM can only be installed once. DO NOT DELETE/REMOVE your eSIM from your device after successful installation
- You can have different eSIM plans installed on your device
- Data speed varies depending on the country and location

Real-name Registration for Taiwan
- In response to “Telecommunications (Registration of eSIMs) Regulation” by local authorities, users should complete real-name registration for their eSIM to use Taiwan Roaming Services. Before initiating the Real-name Registration for Taiwan, please ensure that you have successfully installed the eSIM. Take note that the eSIM plan will start upon installation.
- How to Register: Please turn-on WiFi and click to https://www.three.com.hk/prepaid/account/en/tw-rnr complete real-name registration with Passport / Hong Kong ID card.
iOS Instructions
- Go to settings > Mobile Data > Tap Add Data Plan > Install eSIM > Scan QR code or Tap 'Enter Details Manually' > Custom Label your eSIM (Destination) > Set Default line as 'Primary' to receive calls/messages > Set Mobile data using eSIM > Update Access Point Names (APN), if needed > Installation is completed!
- When you land > Mobile Data > Turn on eSIM > Turn on Data Roaming
Android Instructions
- Go to settings > Network/Connection > Tap Sim Card Manager > eSIM > Add mobile plan > Scan QR code or Tap 'Enter Details Manually' > Scan Carrier QR code or Retrieve QR from file or Enter code instead > Custom Label your eSIM (Destination) > Installation is completed!
- When you land > Turn on (eSIM)> Mobile Data Select eSIM > Turn on Data Roaming

The cheapest e-sim I found on klook. Very easy to install and I can attest that it’s definitely worth the price. Coverage was good and signal was strong. We not only visited Taipei but we also went to Taichung and we were able to use it with ease. 1GB is enough for casual browsing and using google maps.
Scan & setup the e-sim prior to departure from KL. with Iphone you can save the e-sim & still can use your original phone data plan. once arrived at taiwan, switch the plan & connected. very easy to use. internet very good & fast better than my hotel wifi. all area OK
this is my 3rd time purchasing this esim for 3 different destinations (SG, South Korea and now Taiwan). Each experience was seamless. I used the 2G/ daily for Taiwan and it was fast. although since even MRT stations and hotels had wifi, I was also able to save on data. overall, it was a positive experience using this esim.

It was easy to install and it was very convenient to have data the minute I landed. Throughout my journey in Taiwan I had good connections and never problems! But the eSim is from HK so tiktok didn’t work, but I survived.

Despite received alert messages that have exceeded the 15GB high speed coverage, overall reception remained good without disruption throughout my 7 days in Taiwan. Like other reviews mentioned, disregard the email QR quote sent by KLOOk and just lookout for email from FREWIE.
E-sims are my go to whenever my flight arrivals are at wee hours and not sure if the sim card booths are still open. We arrive around 2 am. Signal strength is good as well if you just want being online almost entire day. Just some issues with the signal depending on the location but if you are just within the city then no problem at all.
after purchasing via klook, you will receive the qr code after an hour or so. it's my first time to use esim in my travel and will be using it in the future as well. its easy, fast and less hassle as you dont have to open your phone to use the data. after uploading the qr code, you just need to restart your phone when you are in the country already. thank you klook for this!
First time to try esim and I'm very satisfied with it. Frewie sends a separate email containing instructions on how to activate the esim. Easy to follow instructions and upon landing when I didn't immediately have data I just restarted my phone and it works. Was able to have good signal from taipei to taichung. When we visited the swallow grotto there was no signal but other than that in other areas of taroko national park the signal is great.
at first ,it’s hard to do the QR Code sent from email,i used the one that i received, then i emailed them and asking for because it’s always error , until i read some reviews here that you can check your spam and then finally , i saw the email & QR CODE its easy to redeem & easy to use just follow the instructions from the email they sent to you.
