What to expect
* If Cape Kamui is temporarily closed due to restrictions, the itinerary will be changed to 30 minutes of free time at Shimamui Coast.
* The Blue Cave boat tour may be canceled due to force majeure such as strong winds or heavy rain.
Join our one-day tour to Cape Kamui, a representative scenic spot in Hokkaido, where you’ll hike through a 400m green trail leading to a sharp cape plunging into the Sea of Japan. At noon, capture the classic scene of gas lamps reflecting on the stone-paved streets of Otaru Canal. The glass workshops, converted from warehouses, exude an artistic atmosphere. Step into a fairy tale world built with three thousand music boxes, and travel back to the Meiji era with antique automatic instrument performances. In the afternoon, you can choose to take a boat deep into the Blue Cave in southern Otaru, where sunlight penetrates the water, refracting a mesmerizing cobalt blue, and the rock walls resemble a giant crystal palace. Finally, return to Sapporo to visit Shiroi Koibito Park, transform into a British fairy tale character, stroll through rose gardens and retro streets, and encounter the hourly doll clock tower performance, leaving behind beautiful memories~

Reviews
I had a fantastic time on the Hokkaido Otaru: Kamui Cape, Blue Cave & Otaru Canal tour. Our guide, Alisa, was wonderful—so nice and explained everything in both English and Mandarin with such infectious enthusiasm!
Hong has only been a tour guide for about half a year, but he is already very capable of sharing insights and fun facts about Hokkaido and the places we visited. He also recommended great photo spots, nice food, and good souvenir shops. He is good with multiple lanagues like Mandarin, English, Japanese, Korean and other dialects. I would also like to compliment Kevin, who was joining for on the job training. He took beautiful photos for everyone during the tour and was very friendly and engaging. I would love to return next winter and would definitely want to join either Hong’s or Kevin’s tour group again.
Our guide Ms. Li was so energetic and helpful! She gave us a lot of information on the sites we were visiting and she helped us take lots of photos. The places themselves were beautiful and the Otaru Canal area is definitely a place I'll return to for a whole day trip. Great trip all in all!
This was my first time joining a day tour in Japan, and I didn't expect such a great experience! Although the weather at Cape Kamui wasn't good, it was still a pleasant surprise and I could really feel the power of the ocean. The Blue Cave was super fun and totally worth it. Highly recommended! Even high school students had a blast! I felt that Otaru wasn't as good as Beijing's moat^_^, just took a quick look around. Shiroi Koibito Park wasn't that impressive either. I was very satisfied with the two things I was most looking forward to. Tour guide Chen was very kind and worked hard. I will definitely consider this type of travel in the future. Thanks to this platform.
The only downside of the trip was that the boat tour to feed the seagulls was canceled due to unfavorable wind conditions. Cape Kamui was incredibly windy and cold that day, making it difficult to even walk. We could only stay for a short while before heading to the indoor gift shop. We had a generous three hours to explore Otaru. Shiroi Koibito Park had so many tulips in bloom; being surrounded by flowers was delightful. We also had a Taiwanese tour guide on this trip, which made us feel very much at home and added a warm touch to the itinerary.
After landing in Sapporo, I added the tour guide Lily on WeChat right away. I quickly received the itinerary and instructions for the next day's trip. Booking the Blue Cave cruise was also very fast. When I asked about the meeting point in the evening, the replies were prompt and patient. Cape Kamui is very worthwhile, and Lily gave a detailed introduction on the car. I also had a lot of fun going to Otaru and the Blue Cave in the afternoon! Overall, I am very satisfied, thank you Lily for your professional explanation and company.
How lucky I am today also with Miss Mila, she always makes the trip in the best way and the information is very valuable, thank you
I was very lucky to meet Lily on my first group tour to Hokkaido. She is very kind and approachable. She carefully explained the characteristics and important details of each attraction. She made sure that even children could clearly and directly understand some facts about each destination. My daughter especially likes her. It was a very satisfying trip!
One of the best experiences of my trip! I can’t believe this cruise isn’t talked about more! It exceeded all of our expectations and became one of the highlights of my vacation. A huge thank you to our amazing guides, Hong and Kevin, and to our wonderful boatman. They were warm, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome from the very beginning. Kevin’s attentiveness especially stood out. When he noticed me using my handheld fan on the bus, he immediately checked if the temperature was comfortable. It was a small gesture, but it showed how genuinely caring and thoughtful the team was. The cruise itself was beautiful, relaxing, and very well organized. Every member of our group enjoyed the experience, and we left with wonderful memories. If you’re considering this activity, don’t hesitate—book it! It’s an absolute must-try and worth every penny. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and well-organized experience.
Cape Kamui is really far away from Sapporo and taking a public bus to there is quite challenging considering the hours of the journey takes, hence I decided to take up this day trip package. I dropped off at Otaru, skipped Shiroikoibito as I have been to Shiroikoibito before, which with prior arrangement and communication, it can be achieved. Overall, Triple Stone is a well knowledged guide, he shared quite a bit of the agenda, a brief background of Hokkaido, which is a good-to-know. Really thankful to the guide and I did enjoy the trip very much.
