Reviews
Rourou was a great tour guide with clear instructions in both english and chinese. The itinerary was well planned and had enough time to explore each place. Highly recommended for anyone looking to go on a day trip to both cape kamui and Otaru!
When I booked, the weather forecast showed cloudy skies, but on the day of the trip, it turned out to be sunny! The scenery at Cape Kamui is highly dependent on the weather; a sunny day is so much more beautiful than a cloudy one! However, we still encountered an unexpected issue: the highway was closed! 😭 Thankfully, today's guide, RouRou, made a quick decision! She swapped the order of our visits to Cape Kamui and Otaru, and we successfully completed the entire itinerary! It was a blessing in disguise! 💪 (I heard another tour group was stuck in traffic on the highway all morning 😂)
Kap Kamui was breathtaking in several ways and such a joy to visit. For me the highlight of the tour. otherwise it’s not easy to come here. The time in Otaru was a bit short and late for some stores.
Our tour guide, Sister Rourou, is beautiful and kind-hearted. The itinerary was perfectly arranged, balanced, and she was very responsible, making for an excellent experience! On the bus, she introduced us to the background and features of the attractions, showed us local Ezo deer we encountered and tulips blooming along the road, pointed out the beautiful snow-capped mountains to our friends from tropical regions, and reminded us to enjoy the Sea of Japan scenery along the way. She even woke us up before we arrived at each attraction, which was very thoughtful! The one-day trip allowed us to experience the essence of Otaru and its surrounding attractions. We saw the spectacular cliffs against the Sea of Japan at Cape Kamui; learned about the birth of Japanese whisky at the Yoichi Distillery; visited the filming locations for 'Love Letter' and 'First Love,' Temiya Park and Mount Tengu. At Temiya Park, we saw late-blooming cherry blossoms, with the cherry trees complementing the distant sea view. At sunset, we overlooked the city of Otaru from the summit of Mount Tengu. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't ideal today, with heavy fog. Walking through the Tengu Shrine in the misty fog had a unique charm. We wish Sister Rourou success in her career and studies, and abundant prosperity ✌️.
The tour course was absolutely wonderful! I was completely captivated by the scenery that day. Although there were some minor language communication difficulties, our guide's quick wit helped us overcome them. When an urgent situation arose and I needed to leave mid-tour, the guide's resourcefulness resolved everything smoothly! I highly commend our amazing and brilliant guide!
The duration provided at each attraction was appropriate and our guide was always helpful in giving us clear instructions and offering to take photos. A good way to visit Cape Kamui from Sapporo!
The driver was very enthusiastic and introduced each scenic spot. He also helped solve many problems along the way. The small group tour was relaxed and comfortable, and the scenery at Shenwei Gorge was beautiful. It was a worthwhile trip!
Perfect for a rainy day recovery. Everything on time, no hidden fees. Cape Kamui is breathtaking even under clouds.
The bus was new, and the tour guide spoke both Chinese and English, making for a smooth experience. Cape Kamui is very windy, so bring a windbreaker. The free tasting at the Yoichi Distillery was excellent, and they have an internal bar, so whiskey lovers shouldn't miss it.
Shimamui Coast made me cry a little. The contrast of deep blue sea, white waves, and green pines is pure magic. No souvenir shops, no noise – just nature. Thank you for including this stop.
