Taichung Old Station Half-Day Walking Tour

It is mainly a guide for foreign friends so it is in English. There are some interactive games designed for the introduction of scenic spots which are quite fun👍

My tour guide today is a local one who born and raised here, he shared lots of interesting facts and life experiences he had in Taichung during the tour. I am fascinated by this city as well, the vibe and history here is amazing.

It is almost impossible to find a walking tour team that provides services every day in Taiwan. Unexpectedly, I found TC TIME WALK in Taichung. The guides are fluent in Chinese and English, and the staff is very diverse, with different people leading the tour almost every day. Each tour guide has his or her own specialty, and the age distribution is quite wide! ! ! I really recommend their services to make Taichung international, and I definitely support it! !

Honest Review 1. How the Tour Worked Before the tour started, we waited until all the people who had arrived had arrived. During that time, we were told to go to the bathroom or just stand on the street and wait. After everyone had gathered, we had them introduce themselves one by one on the street. 2. How the Guide Operated Upon arriving at the location, after a brief explanation, the guide spent more time chatting with specific guests than providing overall care. Even if I had any questions, it was difficult to ask the guide who was talking. Although the guide took photos with the guests in the background and the guests as the center, he did not take photos for the guests or give them time to take photos. 2. Language and Participants The tour was conducted in English, and the guide continued the explanation in a bright and cheerful manner. However, more than half of the participants were from Taiwan, and the entire tour was centered around them. The guide spent most of the time talking to them, and when asked questions or quizzes, they answered the answers they had searched on their phones. I think the tour should have been organized by distinguishing between locals and foreigners. 3. End of the tour It was also disappointing that the guide's interest decreased significantly after the 'tip time', which is considered the most important. Until the end, Taiwanese people gathered together and talked while the rest of the people waved their hands and left. 4. Overall evaluation When I consider these points, it seems that there were a lot of Taiwanese people on this day, but I find it difficult to recommend this tour to foreigners. I felt that it needed more balanced operation and consideration. The reason I am writing this instead of just passing by is that it may have been a good time for some, but if there were detailed reviews, I would not have chosen it. I hope you spend your precious time and money well.
