Fantastic 5.0
Our guide Ben was extremely kind and took great care of us throughout the trip. We visited Ine Funaya in the morning and Amanohashidate in the afternoon, and we had plenty of leisurely time to sightsee. The weather was nice, so our photos turned out great, and it was an overall wonderful trip. Since the tour was fully booked today, I had to sit in the middle of the very back row of the bus. He politely apologized in advance, saying it might be uncomfortable, and even bought us a small gift on the way back, which really touched me. He also sang traditional Japanese songs along the way and shared various stories about history and Japan, so we had a fun time on the bus as well. Thanks to guide Ben, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. 👍👍

An absolutely perfect experience! Our tour guide CC is so lovely 🫶🏻, and the driver was also very professional. Today's itinerary was super worth it! Honestly, if I were on my own, it would be hard to find the motivation to visit these spots because they are truly! Truly! So far away! Fortunately, I booked a Klook day tour, so I didn't have to worry about planning the route at all—just following along was enough~ We enjoyed a leisurely cable car ride at Amanohashidate, saw the super clear ocean water at Ine Funaya, and had a quiet, amazingly delicious sandwich while relaxing and clearing our minds in the thatched-roof village of Miyama. Today was such a happy and worthwhile day~ CC even prepared a small gift for us 🎁, which touched me so much 😭. CC also recommended visiting Amanohashidate in the winter when the snow makes it super beautiful, and I will definitely come back next time!

Good tour cover main attractions that are just enough and not too tiring. Also suitable for old people, kids. There is not much walking so it’s a good break from some tiring days taking train around. Tour guide Zoey is very accommodating and helpful. The drive was smooth.

This was a wonderful trip! Our guide, Mr. Lui (柳), provided very clear details and even sent translated messages in Thai for me. Overall, I am extremely impressed. Mr. Lui is multilingual, able to communicate in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and he even helped take couple photos for us. Before the trip, he also sent weather alerts so we could prepare beforehand. ☺️☺️☺️

Fantastic 5.0
Last time, I visited Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, so this time I went to places I hadn't seen before. It was just before a long holiday, so there weren't many people, and it was wonderfully peaceful and quiet! When you actually see it, it's not so much 'Wow, that's amazing!' but rather beautiful scenery, the path you walk while admiring that scenery, various photos taken at photo spots, and an unexpected seagull zoo feeding (making eye contact with seagulls and hawks). I didn't have high expectations, but it was fun! The only downside is that the travel time is a bit long if you depart from Osaka! However, our guide, MICA, explained many things about Japan so well and took such beautiful photos that I even changed my KakaoTalk profile picture for the first time in a while! 😄

Fantastic 5.0
The tour guide spoke very gently and patiently, and was also very dedicated to resolving any issues we had. The only minor drawback was that the itinerary was a bit tight. We happened to go on a weekend, plus it was a special holiday in Japan, so there were huge crowds and long queues for everything. This meant we didn't have enough time to eat proper meals and had to grab quick snacks, which felt a bit rushed. However, the sea and Amanohashidate were truly beautiful. The final seagull feeding part was a little disappointing; the lower deck of the boat was already full, so we had to go to the upper deck and stand in the sun to feed the seagulls. But there seemed to be very few seagulls, and we ended up eating most of the shrimp crackers ourselves. We were lucky if we fed even one. I'm not sure if it was because there were so many people that the seagulls were already full. For this kind of trip, it would definitely be better to go on a weekday next time to avoid the crowds and long waits for everything.🥺🥺

Maggie has been an excellent tour guide! This was my first time booking a group tour and I was hesitant at first but I’m glad I did. The tour was paced well, I did not feel rushed and I honestly felt that the alloted time for each location was sufficient enough to get a feel and have fun on each places. We were in Ine Bay from 1015H-1055H, which includes the boat ride. A tip that I would give if you’re not into feeding seagulls is to skip the boat ride and just explore the Ine bay/ boathouses by foot. Next stop was Amanohashidate and we were there for 2hrs, then last stop was the Miyama thatched village which was phenomenal. Make sure to try their milk!! 🫶🏼

You don't have to worry about transportation, but your time won't be as flexible. Our guide, Jay, is very nice and humorous! This time, we truly experienced the beauty of Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya. I'd love to come back next time for a more in-depth visit!

Fantastic 5.0
We participated in the Ine Funaya and Amanohashidate day tour, and we were extremely satisfied with the overall itinerary! ✨ In the morning, we went to Ine Funaya to take a boat and feed the seagulls. The scenery along the way was very beautiful, and having the seagulls fly alongside the boat was truly entertaining 🪽💕 In the afternoon, we headed to Amanohashidate and took the scenic coastal train to enjoy the views. The itinerary was arranged very smoothly, and we got to see all the highlights without feeling too rushed. I especially want to praise our tour guide, Mr. Liao! 👏 Guide Liao was very friendly and patient the whole way, explaining things clearly without constantly rushing everyone. His introductions to the scenic spots were also very lively, and he helped resolve any issues we encountered, making us three sisters feel very at ease on our first visit here. The atmosphere throughout the entire day was very relaxed and pleasant, and the timing was managed just right. There was adequate time to rest when needed, without the pressure of constantly rushing through the itinerary. We were so lucky to have such a great tour guide, which made this trip to Ine and Amanohashidate leave wonderful memories ❤️ If we have the opportunity to visit Kansai again in the future, we would gladly join a similar day tour again! 🌊🛳️✨

The Sandbar Walk & Bike Ride

The pine-covered sandbar, about 3.6 km long, can be crossed on foot or by bike. Lined with nearly 8,000 pine trees, it connects the southern end near Chionji Temple to the northern side, where you'll find shops, restaurants, and hotels. Walking the full length takes about 50 minutes, while cycling is a quicker option.

Amanohashidate Cruises & Tours

For a different perspective, cruises and tours around Miyazu Bay provide spectacular views of the sandbar from the water. Tickets can be purchased in advance or reserved at local counters near Amanohashidate Station.

Chion-ji Temple

Located at the southern end of the sandbar, Chion-ji Temple is dedicated to the Buddhist deity of wisdom. Many students visit to pray for academic success, and the temple grounds are home to a centuries-old pine tree. It's only a short walk from Amanohashidate Station and the sandbar entrance.

Kasamatsu Park

On the northern side of Amanohashidate lies Kasamatsu Park, another observatory famous for the "dragon rising to heaven" view of the pine-covered sandbar. Accessible via the Kasamatsu Cable Car, the park offers peaceful walking paths, viewing terraces, and photo spots.

Motoise Kono Shrine

Also on the northern side, Motoise Kono Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Japan, with a history predating the Ise Grand Shrine. It is deeply tied to Japanese mythology and holds annual festivals that preserve local traditions. A visit here complements the natural beauty of Amanohashidate with cultural depth.

Amanohashidate Jinja Shrine

Hidden among the pine trees on the northern end of the sandbar, this small shrine adds a spiritual dimension to your walk or bike ride across the land bridge.
