Our tour guide, Rex, was incredibly professional and thoughtful. Although most of the group were Chinese-speaking tourists, he seamlessly switched between languages to also cater to the English-speaking members. Throughout the trip, he provided fascinating historical backgrounds of each region. The overall trip time management was excellent, and we'd also like to thank our driver for the day for providing a safe and comfortable ride, bringing the entire journey to a perfect close. This was a truly wonderful experience!

Ine Funaya is definitely worth a visit. The sea is incredibly blue, and the ocean views are stunning. You can also take a boat tour and experience feeding the seagulls. There are many delicious food options around Amanohashidate, where you can savor local seafood dishes.

It was a great trip! I originally planned to take the JR train myself, but realized the return journey would be too rushed. So, I decided to join this one-day tour. Our guide, Akira, was very dedicated in his explanations, and the itinerary was well-planned. I would definitely join another one-day tour if I have the chance.

A wonderful experience. Although the weather conditions were not ideal, the trip still went smoothly. I was especially impressed with our young tour guide, Wang Qi. He could speak multiple languages to communicate and assist everyone in the group. He was very enthusiastic and thoughtful.

Ben, the tour guide, speak English and Mandarin pretty well. He sang Japanese songs in the bus, and explained the history or fun fact on the scenes. it’s started with self/explore in Ine Bay/Village, quiet yet beautiful. and then, feeding the seagull and eagles, after that the Amanohashidate cable car, recommend to take the chair ride, it’s safe and a unique way to enjoy Japan. you either can enjoy upstairs till the end, or went down sooner to see the beach or having meals

We were so fortunate to have Amy as our tour guide for this trip. She was incredibly dedicated and responsible, explaining the itinerary and attractions in both Chinese and English throughout the entire journey. Her commentary was witty, humorous, and very entertaining. She even prepared snacks and milk for us during the trip, concerned we might get hungry, and was very attentive to our needs. She was truly wonderful, making our trip to Japan an amazing experience! 🤩

I wanted to visit Kayabuki-no-Sato, so I signed up for a one-day tour and went. I had a specific destination in mind, so I honestly didn't have any expectations for the first two stops, but it turned out to be a trip where I was simply amazed by the beautiful scenery at every place we visited. I was also very grateful that our guide, 'Lee Song-ran,' was so kind and explained everything so well, making the tour engaging and never boring. If you were to go to those destinations by public transportation, the travel costs alone would be at least 100,000 won, so I highly recommend this bus tour for those with busy travel schedules!

What to know about Amanohashidate

Amanohashidate is a stunning natural wonder in Kyoto Prefecture, often called the "Bridge to Heaven." It's a long strip of land that stretches across Miyazu Bay. This natural land bridge is one of Japan's top three scenic views. You can walk or ride a bike along the sandbar's path, surrounded by thousands of pine trees. But that's not all! For an unforgettable view, go to Amanohashidate View Land at the southern end. You can ride a cable car or chair lift up the mountain to see the sandbar from above. It looks like a path leading to the sky! You can also visit Kasamatsu Park next, where you can look at the sandbar upside down through your legs in a fun way called "matanozoki." You can easily get there by the Kyoto Tango Railway or the Kyoto Jukan Expressway. It's a perfect day trip from Kyoto Station. Don't miss out on the chance to visit Amanohashidate! Plan your trip today and experience one of Japan's most stunning views.

Things to do at Amanohashidate, Japan

Walk Across the Pine-Covered Sandbar

At Amanohashidate, one of the coolest things you can do is walk across a pine-covered sandbar that's often called a "bridge to heaven." This natural land bridge stretches about 3.6 kilometers and is lined with beautiful pine trees. The fresh air and calm surroundings make it a great place to relax and get away from the busy city life.

Visit Amanohashidate View Land

For even more stunning views of Amanohashidate, check out Amanohashidate View Land. You can get there on a cable car or chair lift from the southern end of the sandbar. This park lets you look down on the sandbar, which curves like a dragon between the sky and earth. There are also fun attractions like a Ferris wheel and go-karts.

Explore Kasamatsu Park

On the northern side of Amanohashidate, Kasamatsu Park gives you a different look at the famous sandbar. You can take a cable car to get there and enjoy stunning views of the "bridge to heaven," especially from the mountains. There's even a fun way to see it by bending over and looking at it upside down through your legs. People say it makes the sandbar look like a path to the sky! This park is also a nice place for a picnic, surrounded by the natural beauty of Kyoto Prefecture.

Visit Chionji Temple

To add some culture to your visit, stop by Chionji Temple near the southern end of the sandbar. This lovely temple has a famous five-story pagoda. You can explore the temple's old and beautiful architecture, which connects to Japan's history and spirituality. The temple grounds are well-kept, perfect for taking a break before you continue your adventure at Amanohashidate.

Take a Cruise on Miyazu Bay

Visit Amanohashidate Jinja Shrine

Visit the Amanohashidate Jinja Shrine for a spiritual adventure. This peaceful shrine near the sandbar is dedicated to Izanagi no Mikoto, a deity from ancient Japan. It's a great place to learn about old Japanese traditions. With its quiet location and beautiful surroundings, it's a nice spot to reflect on the natural beauty.
