Takayama Castle Ruins tours

The Maple Leaves Eihoji, Korankei Gorge, and Shikizakura tour from Nagoya was absolutely stunning! Our tour guide was fantastic—fluent in English, Chinese, and Japanese, making the experience seamless and enjoyable for everyone. Each destination showcased the breathtaking beauty of autumn, with vibrant hues of red, orange, and yellow creating unforgettable scenery. Korankei Gorge was particularly mesmerizing with its fiery maple leaves, while the rare Shikizakura (cherry blossoms blooming alongside autumn colors) added a magical touch. The entire tour left me in awe of nature’s brilliance—a must-do for autumn lovers! I’m glad that I booked this tour😊

Everything is excellent for this trip! Hotel equipped with 2 onsens. Dinner & breakfast at the hotel is delicious. Transport is well-maintained. Guide is patient and explains well on the itinerary. We are able to replace beef meals with other options.

The views were unreal and the trip was very worth it. The trip was very relaxed and we didn't feel like we were not rushed on time. The personnel were very professional and top notch. Our guide Yogi was very accommodating and very knowledgeable. Our driver Kaori-san was very cheerful. I would recommend to take this excrusion rather than a do-it-yourself trip to Kamikochi. Everything was hassle free and well worth the price.

Our guide was Mandarin speaking and he should have covered some housekeeping rules on the bus eg clear your trash, keep your volumes low if you need to chat so as not to disturb the rest. This was not covered and we had many passengers who spoke loudly throughout the whole day - very distracting and inconsiderate. Driver did not provide plastic bags for us to dispose of our trash and bus smelt of cigarette smoke. Small improvements to above could help to enhance a good passenger experience. Overall experience at Shirakawa-go Gassho Village is great and worth to visit .

Very informative , very friendly. Took photos of the 4 of us wherever we asked and he even came into a 7-11 we stopped into to recommend some snacks and help us at the counter! Would highly recommend. The driver was also very friendly!

the tour is super worth it, though there is a little time to explore the shirakawa-go since this is just a day tour. but thank you for this!

We met 2 guides, Makino-san in Nagoya and Tomoko-san in Shirakawago and Takayama. They are both going the extra miles when it comes to satisfy our needs. Makino-san initiated to contact us a day before, helped get into the right bus, and even though that she wasn't going with us, she coordinated very well with Tomoko-san so everything were going smoothly when we arrived at Shirakawago. She also gave us recommendations about places that we can see to spend another day in Nagoya. In Shirakawago, Tomoko-san was guiding very professionally, tinkered our routes to our requests and made it feels like we were not going with a guide, but as a family instead. In Takayama, we got the chance to spend our time to see around the places, visit a café and omiyage stores. They are both local so you might find out things that only the locals know. Very satisfied.
