I had fun exploring Southern Taiwan with this 3 day pass. Very easy to use, it comes with a booklet that you'll get from the HSR counter. You can book your HSR in advance through the website, can even change your time of departure when you go to the counter. My accomodation is in Taipei and the day trips in Taichung and Tainan was just a breeze. HSR also provides free shuttle bus between HSR station to the main city, just research for the bus number. You have to go through the staff at the gates to pass through, they will inspect the booklet. I'll comeback to explore more of South Taiwan!

Hope this info will help any international traveller going from Kinmen (Shuitou Pier 水头码头) to Xiamen (Wutong Port 五通客运码头) 1) Collect ferry ticket from the left most counter (i.e. i海台已附款取票柜台) at Shuitou Pier 水头码头 2) The ferry tickets can only be collected between 30 and 70 minutes before departure. 3) Security and immigration clearance only starts 60 minutes before ferry departure 4) Luggage will be kept in the luggage rooms within the ferry, but unlike the Kinmen side, you'll need to find and claim your luggage before exiting the ferry! Remember to fill in the physical Arrival Card for Temporary Entry Foreigners (photo before) either provided during the ferry trip or at Wutong Port, as you'll need the card to clear the immigration at Xiamen

The MRT Unlimited Pass Ticket was an absolute game-changer during my trip to Taiwan! It made getting around the city incredibly easy and convenient. With unlimited rides, I didn’t have to worry about reloading the card or calculating fares — I just scanned and went. Perfect for exploring multiple attractions in a day. The MRT system itself is clean, safe, and efficient, with trains arriving frequently and stations clearly marked in English, making it very tourist-friendly. The pass gave me the freedom to travel wherever I wanted without any stress, and it saved me both time and money. If you want a smooth, hassle-free way to explore Taiwan, this pass is a must-have. I’ll definitely purchase it again on my next visit!

The ticket booth is located outside Exit 2 of the Zuoying HSR Station, where you can present your mobile voucher for redemption. You can specify the departure time for your outbound trip. The return trip is valid for the specified date, but the time is flexible. Please note that only adult tickets are available, but children can use EasyCards to ride (recharge available at the counter). The buses are clean (although they look like Taiwanese buses, they are made by Hino). There is no restroom on board. Use the restrooms at the HSR station before boarding. Give your ticket to the driver when boarding. Drivers are the same no matter where you go (don't tailgate!). Announcements and LED displays are available in Chinese and English inside the bus. We used the round-trip to Nanwan, but the timetable at the return stop only shows the departure time from the first stop, Xiaowan. Therefore, you need to estimate the bus arrival time at your stop by adding the travel time from Xiaowan to your location. Be aware of this. Depending on the time of day, you may be able to see the sunset from the bus.

The Tainan-Xiaogang Airport Express Line is really convenient, with many pick-up/drop-off points. The bus arrives on time, and the driver thoughtfully reminds you to be careful getting on and off. It's comfortable and stable, and the large luggage storage area is very spacious. There are no limits on the number of pieces or weight of luggage. Highly recommended!

I was very worried about no-shows after seeing posts from people who had experienced them elsewhere. I emailed from Korea and headed to Kaohsiung when I hadn't heard anything until the day before my reservation. After arriving in Kaohsiung (around 2 PM), I received a message asking me to wait a little longer, along with a LINE ID. My departure was scheduled for 8 AM the next day, but I hadn't heard from the driver by 6 PM the day before, so I contacted the company using the LINE ID I received in the email. Only after communicating using Papago was I able to get information about the vehicle type and license plate, and I was able to board on time on the day of my reservation. To my fellow Koreans!!!! If you don't hear from the driver, I recommend contacting the company by email and LINE... I thought I was going to be a no-show waiting for the driver to contact me, and I was so anxious I thought I was going to die...

Traveling from Taipei to Kaohsiung by bus was an excellent experience! The booking process was simple and straightforward, and the ticket price was very affordable for such a long-distance trip. The bus was modern, comfortable, and clean, with soft reclining seats, strong air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi — perfect for relaxing or catching up on work during the journey. The ride was smooth from start to finish, and the driver was professional and careful on the road. We arrived exactly on time, and the stops along the way were well-planned and convenient. I was amazed at how comfortable and stress-free long-distance travel could be. If you’re looking for an affordable, comfortable, and reliable way to travel between Taipei and Kaohsiung, this bus service is highly recommended. I would definitely choose it again!

Booking on Klook for $352 is more cost-effective than buying it on-site at the Ubus counter for the original price of $400. This ticket can only be obtained by waiting on-site. I managed to get a seat on the 09:30 departure on Christmas Day, December 25th. There were still 10 empty seats on the bus. Successfully boarded.
