Best Hotels to Stay at in Kaohsiung
True story, we once flew from Singapore directly to Kaohsiung, hired a private car with a driver and slowly explored Taiwan via car. We spent days driving from Kaohsiung, all the way up to Taipei, staying and checking out different places along the way - and it remains one of my favourite adventures in Taiwan to date. (It's not a bad idea if you'd like to explore Taiwan as much as you'd like!)
If you're considering possibly doing the same, then you'll probably want to know a little more about Kaohsiung. It's a harbour city in Taiwan (and also the second-largest city!) offering a blend of fantastic urban experiences and cultural attractions.
Here, you’ll find bustling shopping streets and districts and night markets like the lively Liuhe Night Market, as well as cultural wonders like Lotus Pond and numerous temples. The food here's pretty great too, and it's definitely worth staying a night or two in this city.
