Things to do in Hiroshima Prefecture

Could not believe the price considering how informative and touching this museum was. I thought the museum captured the actual scale of the destruction very well and the strength of the community to rebuild after something so tragic. It’s something everyone should see if they have the opportunity to, truely eye opening and so touching.

Rino was great!! A very dynamic and fun guide 😁 The museum visit is very overwhelming because the place is very small and you can't properly observe the photo and object exhibit on the upper floor. They should have a lower capacity of people at a time so it can be appreciated. The rest of the tour was very good.

We bought the Klook Pass Hiroshima with 2 Attraction Pass + Peace Memorial Museum + JR Kansai Hiroshima Pass which included also Hello Kitty Shinkansen :) and it was the best decision. We considered a lot about the JR Pass but decided for this one since it gives also free attractions. Everything worked super smooth and we could activate all without problem. It is worth to buy these type of passes instead of buying only the pass.

I had really been looking forward to our trip to Hiroshima, highly recommended by my nieces, and it truly exceeded expectations. Our guide, Joe, met us at the station and quickly organized the group. He explained the day’s program clearly and provided headphones so we could always hear him. He shared both the history of Hiroshima and his personal connection to the city, which made it even more meaningful. We were also given a beautiful little origami crane made by his wife, which now has a special place on my desk at work. Joe’s genuine interest in us and our culture created a warm and engaging dialogue throughout the day. Hiroshima was deeply moving and thought-provoking. Lunch was lovely, and visiting the floating Torii gate and the temple on the island was simply magical. Joe has my warmest and very best recommendation.

Good value for money. Redeemed the 1,500 yen Ekimae shopping voucher, 1,500 okonomiyaki voucher, and the cake set from Hotel Granvia. You need use the QR code to exchange for the shopping and okonomiyaki vouchers separately, whereas the Hotel Granvia cake set can be redeemed directly with the QR code. The okonomiyaki voucher was pretty hard to exchange, as you need to change it at one of the stalls at the food court, and it can be confusing which one it is, since the shop names are in Japanese. But just ask around any of the shops and they should be good to guide you.

Very beautiful castle on the outside, museum inside with passages on each floor (by foot). This doesn't bother me, but you have to climb... of course you can take your time because there are things to see on each floor. Not extraordinary but very interesting!

The entrance fee is ¥1420. You can conveniently purchase tickets on the spot using Klook when you arrive at the aquarium and use them immediately. The staff will assist you in pressing the purchase voucher, which is very convenient. The aquarium is not very large, with a total of two floors, but the exhibits are very rich, including sea lions, otters, penguins, stingrays, octopuses, etc. There are also hot spring fish that will help you eat the dead skin off your hands for free, which is very interesting. There are also many shows, feeding sessions, and interactive activities, making it good value for money.

This was an excellent tour for our family (inc 2 x young teens), with our guide, Matsuko, providing excellent information and tailored content suitable for the variety of ages and nationalities on the tour. All locations included time for both guided and independent exploring. Pre-tour communication was excellent, and all instructions easy to navigate and understand. Would highly recommended, especially for the time exploring Miyajima Island.

loved the view! great place to watch the sunset + we had fun doing origami and actually have that piece of use became part of the building. it was very memorable. Hiroshima was so good!
