On March 27, 2026, I took a day trip to Lake Kawaguchiko, hoping to see the cherry blossoms during the season, but they hadn't bloomed yet 🫠. The weather was decent, but unfortunately, I didn't get to see the full view of Mount Fuji. I was very lucky that day to have a female tour guide, Xu Jin, who provided detailed explanations at each scenic spot and was incredibly polite and wonderful. When we arrived at Arakurayama Sengen Park, we could see Mount Fuji. Due to time constraints, I didn't climb the five-story pagoda, but on the way back, I bought a beautiful Mount Fuji bag and strawberries from a vendor. We had lunch at Oshino Hakkai, which was a small park. At Lake Kawaguchiko, we took the cable car to the top, where we could see the entire lake and Mount Fuji. We also briefly explored the shopping street. I look forward to seeing the complete Mount Fuji on a day with better weather next time.
The day started our a bit cloudy so we weren’t sure if we would see Mt Fuji at all but we got some great views of it throughout the day! Our guide was great, friendly & very informative! We left Tokyo station a bit later than most tours, around 9am but it worked out well & the trip there & back was very smooth. The stops we made were all lovely, beautiful views & scenery! Loved the whole day, was well organised & highly recommend this your!
The tour guide, Gu Hang, told us a lot of stories about each attraction during the tour, and the explanations were very detailed. We were lucky to see Mount Fuji on this trip. The steps and slopes of the Kawaguchiko Cable Car and Arakurayama Sengen Park were very steep, and it was tiring to climb to the top of the mountain. However, we were able to take pictures of Mount Fuji and the five-story pagoda, and the view was very broad, allowing us to experience a wonderful trip to Mount Fuji. Great!
Departed on 02.06, the weather was explosively and incredibly good. All along the way, Director Xu kept saying it would snow the next day, so lucky! It was a weekday, Friday, and the itinerary was perfectly timed to avoid crowds. First, we took the cable car to see a super, super, super clear view of Mount Fuji, with almost no waiting in line. Then we went to the internet-famous Lawson, which wasn't too crowded today. Next, we visited Oshino Hakkai after the peak mealtime rush. Even in the afternoon, Mount Fuji was still clear 🩷. The last stop was Fujisan Sengen Shrine. The Goshuin stamp is limited-edition and winter-exclusive, super beautiful! I climbed the exhausting 400 steps 😆. There were no cherry blossoms, so the scenery was somewhat different 😅. But Mount Fuji was still spectacular~ 🗻 Thank you, Director Xu, for starting to explain the history from the moment we got on the train at Tokyo Station. You were very professional, and I absorbed a lot of knowledge. You also explained each attraction very carefully. It was so lucky to meet Director Xu~
20250724 Tour guide Wu Jing was great! The time management was excellent. For the cable car, just stay with the group in line, and the guide will buy the tickets. We were lucky enough to avoid the thunderstorm warning and got to ride the cable car! It's a pity we didn't see the summit, but it appeared while we were on the move. We were also lucky enough to photograph the Mt. Fuji McDonald's from the bus, and we diligently climbed 400 steps. Mt. Fuji was very generous! Absolutely beautiful! The Oshino travel agency even treated us to freshly grilled herb rice cakes 👍
Beautiful tour to get out of the city and discover (if you're lucky) Mount Fuji. The guide was invaluable to the success of the day. Before each stop, she told us anecdotes about the place we were about to visit and also helped us discover more about Japanese culture and the current context. She was very kind and super available to answer any questions. An absolutely positive experience!
we were lucky to see Mt. Fuji in her grandest and most majestic during our tour. Mandy, our tour guide, gave us very clear instructions during each stop. we appreciate the history lessons and short stories of different places. she's attentive and fun. we were not able to do the cable car because it was not available on the day of the tour, but they already informed us the day before, and prepared another itinerary for us.
This tour was a highlight of our trip. Hathaway has prepared an excellent tour, with visits to many key areas around Fujisan and sufficient time dedicated to each stop. Her English is excellent and she shared a lot of interesting and useful information about the areas we visited. We went in mid March and were lucky to have an unobstructed (albeit fleeting) view of Fujisan.
The overall itinerary was very smooth and convenient for independent travelers. You don't need to research transportation or transfers yourself, and you can easily complete a day trip around Mount Fuji. Ms. Hsu Chin, the tour guide, was very professional and attentive. She proactively contacted us via LINE/WhatsApp the night before departure to remind us of the meeting information and precautions, which made us feel very reassured before departure and we didn't have to worry about not finding the meeting point at all. On the day of the tour, she had a good grasp of the pace, and the timing was just right. It wasn't too rushed, and we were able to fully enjoy the scenery. The explanations on the bus were clear, and she was able to provide immediate assistance when we encountered problems. Overall, the experience was very comfortable. We were very lucky to have good weather this time and see a complete and clear Mount Fuji. The real scene is much more shocking than the photos, and it is really worth it to be able to see the complete mountain shape. Overall, it is a relaxing, time-saving and worry-free itinerary, which is very suitable to be arranged in a Tokyo independent travel plan. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Professional tour guide, smooth itinerary, great travel experience.
Joined a day trip to Mount Fuji early in the morning and saw a clear and magnificent Mount Fuji 🗻 along the way. Although Mount Fuji hid behind the clouds during the later itinerary, the experienced and enthusiastic tour guide, Hsu Chin-Yen, introduced the local culture and featured snacks along the way, making the whole trip complete and impressive. I will arrange a second trip to Mount Fuji with my family next time~
