Tour started on time, and although our guide struggled a bit with her English, she made the tour very unique and fun. For the price, it was already very worth it. You get to see a lot and learn a lot, just be ready with a jug of water and comfortable shoes! ❤️💯

tour guide was the best. very knowledgeable and spoke very good english. he is so different from the tour guide we had in taichung who was very nasty and snarky (joseph was his name of the tour guide for taichung). more power to you sir!. hope all the tour guide will aspire and emulate your kindness, wisdom and empathy.

Luckily we are able to explore Kaohsiung before the typhoon hit the city. Our tour guide Mr. Charlie is well versed in English and shared bits and pieces of information about Kaohsiung. This tour is highly recommended for people who wants to see the city explore museums, temples and enjoying the view. Mr. Charlie is conversant both in Mandarin and English he arrives on time and very friendly too.

This extraordinary tour with Charlie was a highlight of my journey. From the moment he picked me up at the train station until he graciously dropped me off at the airport, every detail was meticulously taken care of. The personal attention I received was unparalleled. Throughout the day, we explored numerous remarkable sites, and Charlie expertly customized the itinerary to align perfectly with my interests. He also captured wonderful photos of me, adding a special touch to an already memorable experience.

We had a wonderful time on the Kaohsiung Free Walking Tour – Harbor City Tour! Our guide, Cindy, was fantastic — she communicated clearly, shared insightful historical and cultural facts, and kept the tour engaging from start to finish. One of the highlights was ending the tour with a delicious bowl of shave ice, which we enjoyed together with the group. It was a fun and relaxed way to connect with fellow travelers and locals. This tour is a great way to explore Kaohsiung beyond the usual tourist spots. Highly recommended, especially with a guide as warm and knowledgeable as Cindy. Thank you for a memorable afternoon!

I am penning this down to write an outstanding compliment to our tour guide Mason whom not only amazing/ knowledgeable at what he does, but also who went all out to save our lives during the 2024 earthquake where Hualien was at the epicentre, 2 days ago. The day before the tour, Mason contacted us personally to arrange the pickup from our hotel and to confirm the time. When we first met on the day, he has been an amazing guide, so vibrant, humourous, lively and full of zest. He took the time an effort to remember our names personally and engage/interact with us whenever he can. Not forgetting he is also a great photographer and knows all the best spots to stand to have the best angle on all the location. Just ask him and he knows the best Love the “Taiwan Island” group photo he took for us; attached below. Mason’s exceptional expertise in Hualien and Taroko Gorge was evident in every aspect of our journey. His in-depth knowledge, attention to detail, and engaging storytelling brought the history and beauty of the region to life. We felt privileged to have such a knowledgeable guide who not only shared valuable information but also fostered a deep connection with the place. His passion for the destination was contagious, and we left the tour with a newfound appreciation for Hualien and Taroko Gorge. In fact, it’s from this trip I’ve discovered that my ancestors thousands of years ago are linked to the Amis people of Taiwan and that got me mindblown ! Something that even my family was not aware of that we have roots all the way in Taiwan. After the day tour, we went our separate ways and the very next day was the fateful day where Hualien was struck a 7.4 magnitude earthquake where we were at the epicentre. As Mason has our contact number, he personally checked on us on our wellbeing. Many of us are panic-stricken from the natural disaster. I was about to check out from my hotel when the disaster struck and was informed all roads and trains up north to Taipei has been closed or damaged from the earthquake. We were trapped in Hualien unable to leave the epicentre. There is no way out from the city to evacuate. Mason literally came to the rescue ! He used his personal car to pick us all up from the hotel and some of us stuck at Hualien Train station. The only way out from the epicenter to Taipei is to drive 7 hours convoy south towards Kaoshiung and take the HSR, which he tireless drove non-stop all the way to ensure the safe evacuation of the 7 of us. He said he felt a sense of responsibility to ensure us visitors are safely evacuated out from the disaster area and that we can safely return to Taipei and back to Singapore for our flights. Mason has been our life saver as we were literally trapped in Hualien if it wasn’t for his heroic endeavour to organise an evacuation route for us within his own resources. I am thankful and grateful for his valiant act to ensure safe passage out of Hualien and it is highly commendable ! Thank you Mason Cheng Kuo-Hsiang 鄭國祥 for rescuing us from a natural disaster ! Your heroic efforts deserves a medal !

Best Service! Our tour guide, Nana, was absolutely amazing! She brought so much energy to our trip as she guided us through incredible places like Yehliu Geopark, Golden Waterfalls, Jiufen, and Shifen. I truly appreciated Nana's enthusiasm, and her skills as a photographer were impressive. She even created a same-day edit video of all our adventures! Cipher is honestly one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and really tries to get to know everyone on the trip. Cipher shares lots of fun facts, gives great food recommendations, and you can tell Cipher genuinely loves what he does it makes the whole experience so much better. The bus ride was comfortable too. So smooth that I actually dozed off a few times when Cipher wasn’t busy telling us cool stories or tips Sun Moon Lake is gorgeous, and the street market was such a treat—lots of yummy snacks and local finds. Overall, 10/10 experience. Super worth it and I’d book again in a heartbeat, especially if Cipher is the guide!
