We had an absolutely amazing day at the Osaka Ring Making Workshop! 💍✨ Yay was our personal guide, and she took an already wonderful experience and made it truly exceptional. Her warmth, patience, and personal attention made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Making our own rings was such a unique and memorable experience, and having Yay guide us through every step made it even more special. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. If you’re visiting Osaka, we highly recommend this experience! Ask for Yay if you can. She made our day unforgettable, and we left with not only beautiful rings but also wonderful memories. Thank you, Yay, for making our experience over the top! Craig and Dee. ❤️

Really cool to have custom chopsticks with their names laser engraved. highly recommend for anyone in Osaka!

we were able to find this shop fairly easily with an A-frame sign at the entrance. The area is a shared space with a few other craft workshops as well. There’s a restroom you can use once you are up the stairs. Elvie was our instructor. She gave very good instructions and demonstrations as well as helped with some finishing touches to our chopsticks. They have several types of wood you can upgrade to ranging from 4000 to 8000 yen. There are 3 types that we got to choose from that were already included with the price. I chose the Taiwan Cypress and my brother chose Hinoki. We opted for the optional laser engraving for an additional 1000 yen and it was well worth it! Such a great experience! a lovely souvenir to take back home. I will for sure be using them!

Painting a traditional Daruma doll in Osaka turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. It’s such a simple idea, painting a face onto your own Daruma but it carries so much intention behind it. You set a goal, paint one eye, and then complete the other when that goal comes true. It made the whole activity feel personal, not just creative. Even without perfect language, the staff guided us so kindly through the process. There was something really calming about sitting down, focusing, and putting your own little personality into the design. No pressure for it to be perfect just yours. It ended up being more than just a souvenir. It felt like we were taking home a small piece of Japanese culture, along with a quiet reminder of our goals. Such a wholesome, grounding experience—and something we’ll actually keep and look back on.

I really enjoyed this tour and workshop, especially because Yoshie was such a lovely guide! She was sweet, cheerful and approachable, making everything feel relaxed and fun. On the walk to the museum, she pointed out the mascot manhole covers, and throughout the museum she gave interesting explanations and kept great conversation. She was also fantastic during the Cup Noodle workshop, encouraging us to take our time and taking loads of photos for us. The tour lasted ≈1hr 40 and was definitely informative and enjoyable. My only criticism would be the price. I paid €137.25 for a small-group tour for two people, which felt a little expensive for what was included. The restaurant part was more like being dropped off near the station. I think having a little more guided time at the end would validate the price (2.5hr instead of 2hr) That said, I loved having someone else take care of the navigating ahah! Yoshie even helped us check restaurant availability and order before leaving.

I was searching for something to experience in Osaka and found something that looked interesting! Mochi pounding? It was my first time, but it was so much fun. It felt like a Japanese festival, and the time (about 30 minutes) was just right for me!

What to know before visiting Osaka

Why travellers love visiting Osaka

Osaka draws visitors with its strong mix of experiences led by Theme parks, Attraction passes and Observation decks, followed by Historical sites and Museums. Klook booking data shows demand swells toward the end of the year, with December marked as the city's peak month for bookings, while September records the quietest demand. That rhythm makes Osaka a city of contrasts: lively, festival-rich winters and much calmer late-summer months. For travellers deciding when to go, the key choice is between soaking up peak-season atmosphere in December or aiming for lower crowds and milder prices in September—pick atmosphere or pick quieter savings. Based on Klook booking data.

Best months to visit Osaka

December is the busiest month on Klook, with demand rising sharply, while September shows the lowest booking levels; demand generally drifts up into late autumn and winter. Prices across the year vary modestly: the priciest months by median paid on Klook are August and September at PHP 3,984, while the lowest typical price appears in June at PHP 3,330, a roughly 16% gap between the extremes. Where demand and price diverge is useful — September is very quiet demand-wise but still records an upper-end price, whereas June pairs lower prices with quieter demand. If you want smaller crowds and better prices, aim for June; for peak atmosphere, plan for December.

Month Demand Level Typical Price
January Busier than usual PHP 3,627

August Quieter than usual PHP 3,984
September Quieter than usual PHP 3,984
October About average PHP 3,865
November Busier than usual PHP 3,449
December Peak demand PHP 3,568

Demand is bookings in that month compared with a typical month, from historical Klook booking data, grouped into the demand levels above; typical price is the median paid on Klook in that month; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, July 2025 – June 2026.

Where to stay in Osaka

Klook booking data shows clear differences in typical nightly hotel prices across districts. Nishi is the most affordable option on average at around PHP 3,568, while Kita sits at the priciest end with typically PHP 9,277, a gap of roughly 62% between them. Cheaper districts like Nishi tend to suit budget-conscious travellers or those prioritising saving on accommodation, while pricier areas such as Kita usually attract shoppers or visitors seeking a more premium hotel experience. Use those price bands on Klook to match your stay to whether you prefer value or a higher-end hotel environment. Based on Klook booking data.

Tips for travellers from the Philippines

Most travellers from the Philippines typically book about 7 days ahead, while the earliest planners book up to 19 days out, according to Klook booking data. That means you can often keep plans flexible and book a few days before travel, but in busier months—notably December—locking experiences earlier helps secure availability. If you value lower prices and quieter crowds, target June and book a week or two in advance; if you want peak-season atmosphere in December, consider booking sooner. Use Klook to compare median prices and reserve tickets when you find the combination of timing and price that suits you. Based on Klook booking data.
