Things to do in Beppu

We had such a memorable day today visiting Dazaifu Shrine, Beppu Ropeway and the charming Yufuin town. Our guide Ella’s dedication and thoughtfulness truly elevated the experience. Huge appreciation to our amazing driver whose navigation was impeccable.

this was such a fantastic tour. very laid back. good thing i chose tuesday for the tour. luckily there were NO traffic at all! travel to Yufuin from Dazaifu was less than 1.5hrs. WANG our tour guide was such a sweet gal. although if i can suggest one thing - i wish she’d wait a little longer when giving instructions to the group as soon as everyone is outside the bus. i just noticed that she gives instructions to 5-10 people even if most of the group are still on board the bus. we can only hear 1/4 of what she had discussed with the smaller group of people.

Seven is very attentive and give useful information during the trip, she also very kind to help everyone take the pictures, thumbs up for her. Amazing view from Kinrin Lake and enjoying many delicious Yufuin street food from this trip.

Guide 'Jjujju's' trilingual skills (Korean, Japanese, Chinese) are truly at a perfect native speaker level. This was the first overseas trip for my high school classmates who have turned 40. We still had some childlike innocence left, so we booked the tour because we really wanted to go to the safari. The atmosphere of the serene Yufuin, which was the first course, was so nice, and the safari, which was the next course, was more enchanting than expected, and the last hot spring course was perfect. The explanation and guidance throughout the tour were perfect, with nothing missing. The driver also felt like a veteran. We had such a good time that we regretted the time passing, and it was a tour that I would definitely recommend to others. Next time, I will definitely come back with my family (especially with my parents, it would be the best for a filial piety trip). I think we also met good people on the tour, and since we were a group of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English speakers, we were assigned two guides, both of whom were really the best. In particular, our Korean guide, 'Jjujju,' worked so hard and was so grateful for taking care of us immature people. It was my first Fukuoka trip, and I am grateful for making good memories. This was my first trip with friends to Fukuoka, and I booked the Yufuin bus tour on Klook after searching for it. First of all, I liked that it efficiently visited famous tourist attractions in Fukuoka, and I also liked that at the end of the tour, I could choose between the Sapporo Beer Factory and the Attack on Titan Exhibition Hall to visit. My friends and I chose to see Attack on Titan, and we were satisfied. Above all, the guide was kind enough to lead us from the first meeting place, and while traveling by bus, he wittily explained the tourist attractions and provided detailed information about restaurants in the tourist areas and even restaurants in the center of Fukuoka, which helped us enjoy the trip even more! He was fluent in three languages, so he re-explained and communicated with people from other countries. I would like to use it again because of the guide's meticulousness. We didnt expect to be in such a big group (47pp) but the daytrip was smooth. Thomas did a great job leading us and giving lots of stories and information about the visited areas. He was very nice and even helped us booking a restaurant for the night after the tour. Thanks !

I had an amazing experience at Yufuin! I wish I had more time to walk around at the onsen, but I still managed to take some great photos. The mountain scenery was breathtaking, and the village itself was visually stunning. The highlight of my trip was the train ride back to Hakata station. If you’re in the Kyushu area, especially Fukuoka, I highly recommend visiting Yufuin.

The different colored hot springs provided a very wonderful experience. I observed the bubbling hot gray mud, a red lake, and beautiful blue hot springs. It was a dazzling sight to see many different colored hot springs. It can be a bit crowded, but I bought a few souvenirs, especially the Umi Jigoku face mask, and local Oita delicious pudding and sweets.

Great value for the price, and more fun than expected. There were almost no lines for any of the games and attractions, making it perfect for older elementary and middle school students. I highly recommend spending the better part of a day to fully enjoy everything (there are plenty of vending machines inside with reasonably priced refreshments, making it easy to re-energize). There's a ninja puzzle house (very fun!), VR experiences, driving experiences, roller coasters of varying intensity, and a zipline experience available for an additional fee. The zipline for two people is only ¥4200, and it's incredibly thrilling and worth it! Highly recommended!
