What to expect
The first exhibition to be presented by Kaohsiung Music Center, "POP! POP! POP! An Interactive Journey" provides a compressive perspective on the history of pop music in Taiwan, while also incorporating elements of public curation, giving visitors a chance to voice their thoughts on what pop music is.
The “Sounds of the South” section of the exhibit focuses on the musical and cultural lineage of Taiwan’s southern region. Aside from including keywords in interactive sound installations representative of southern Taiwan as chosen by visitors, this area also provides an in-depth look at the culturally significant individuals and incidents in Kaohsiung’s music history. - Date and time: From March 1, 2022, Tuesday to Sunday 10:00–18:00 (closed on Monday)
- Location: Kaohsiung Music Center, Soprano 4-6F
- Address: No. 1, Zhenai Road, Yancheng District, Kaohsiung City
Ticket Details
- Regular Ticket TWD 199:
- Student & Group Ticket: TWD 149: • Students with a valid Taiwanese student ID • Groups of 20+ people
- Concession Ticket TWD 99: • Residents of Yancheng and Lingya District (please present a relevant ID) • Seniors aged 65+ (please present a relevant ID)
- Free admission: • Children aged below 6 or with a height below 115cm (each child must be accompanied by a paying adult) • Disabilities with certificates and one companion (must enter at the same time)
- Ticket office closed 1 hour before closing

Visiting Notices
- Loud noises, playing, eating, smoking, throwing away paper scraps, and sundries, those behaviors are forbidden in the exhibition area.
- No drinks or food.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Flashlights, selfie sticks, and tripods are not allowed.
- If there is any photography, or filming in commercial use, please make an application to KMC beforehand.
- If there are flooded with customers, crowd control will be carried out, please line up and follow the instructions from the on-site staff to enter the venue.
- For any not covered precautions, the organizer reserves the right to add, cancel, change, or explain; please refer to the Kaohsiung Music Center Facebook page, Instagram, official website, and on-site announcements.
- This event is open to the KMC members to accumulate credits, the credits can be stored at the information desk on the first floor of WaveTower.

The most impressive thing is that the [Into Popular Videos] section allows everyone to experience MV shooting. Up to four people can walk into the green screen to shoot together. After pressing the record button, the three cameras will take turns to record. The song currently used is "Southern Country" by Fire Extinguisher. "Wind" After shooting, you can scan the QRCode on the screen to download the video and the finished product will continue to play on the screen nearby, which is awesome!

Kaohsiung Pop Music Interactive Exhibition is different from Taipei Pop Music Center. Kaohsiung mainly focuses on behind-the-scenes creation, arrangement and lyrics supervision. You can experience the finished product behind the scenes.

Personally, I feel that the content is a little lacking, but the quality of the exhibition itself is very good, and some of the interactions are very thoughtful and interesting. It is a hot weather, so I think it is good to come in and take a look at the exhibition. The tickets are not expensive, and you can expect to take some good photos.

The permanent exhibition "POP! POP! POP! Pop Music Interactive Exhibition" located in the Sound Wave Tower is not only beautiful to look at, but also fun to listen to. Each unit of the exhibition area has designed a corresponding guide. There are 7 exhibition areas in total, distributed on the 4th to 6th floors of the Treble Tower. The 4th floor exhibition area is mainly about the popular music industry overview, and the 6th floor focuses on southern music. The content is rich and exciting. !
