A dazzling stage where stars gather
"Sapphire Cabaret" is a grand performance where people's true feelings are revealed. It "acts" out the lives of the people, and "sings" the emotions from the bottom of their hearts. Acting and singing together express the memories of a generation's youth.
By sorting out precious historical materials, preserving objects with a sense of the times, and replicating classic and gorgeous show costumes, you can see the glorious years and rise and fall of the Sapphire Cabaret, learn about the various interesting facts of the show, and feel the grand occasion of stars gathering.
Reproducing the Sapphire Grand Stage - The foundation of "acting"
The show host's threading of the needle makes the interlocking performances rich, varied, delicate, and interesting, filling the show with laughter and joy. This highlights the host's various skills of "speaking, imitating, teasing, and singing." "Speaking" uses easy-to-understand jokes to connect each performance; "imitating" uses cross-dressing and exaggerated imitations to deeply impress people; "teasing" uses self-deprecating mockery to make the audience laugh; and "singing" often improvises lyrics in different songs, creating classic parodies such as Chu Ko-liang's "Mountain South, Mountain North," bringing endless surprises to the audience.
These laughter and cheers weave together the special scenery of the cabaret show, let's count the sincere memories of youth at that time together.
From On Stage to Behind the Scenes - The charm of "singing"
Many brilliant "on stage" performances are closely related to the efforts "behind the scenes." Here, we turn our perspective from "on stage" to "behind the scenes," focusing on "singing" to showcase the dazzling and varied dances and the glorious moments of the singers, such as Lam Chung's dynamic and passionate performances, the unique voice of the jade girl singer Mei Dai, the glamorous and sexy Chen Mei-Feng, and the affectionate Hung Jung-hung. These show legends are unforgettable.

- Please do not make loud noises, play, eat, smoke, or throw away paper scraps or debris in the exhibition hall.
- Bringing drinks and food into the exhibition hall is prohibited.
- Due to the design of the exhibition hall, pets are not allowed to enter the exhibition hall. Please forgive us (except guide dogs).
- In order to respect the copyright of the exhibited works, please do not record or videotape in the exhibition hall. You can take photos, but please do not use flash, selfie sticks, or tripods.
- If you take photos or videos for commercial purposes or have other special needs, you should apply to the center in advance.
- This event is open to high-level OCARD members to accumulate points. You can accumulate points at the service desk on the first floor with your ticket.
Warm reminder
- In order to maintain the quality of the exhibition, this exhibition adopts a reservation system. Each order is limited to four tickets. Those who are free of tickets still need to make an online reservation. The number of places for each session is limited and will be filled up first.
- Each session lasts 40 minutes. Please enter the venue according to the scheduled time. You can enter and exit during the time period. To avoid delaying the visit, it is recommended to go to the on-site service counter 30 minutes before the exhibition, show the reservation QR code, and complete the exchange of the physical ticket for this exhibition. No admission is allowed during non-reserved time periods. Please purchase tickets separately and make reservations for other sessions.
- This exhibition ticket is only for one person. The ticket holder should use it according to the session and time stated on the ticket. Any alteration, photocopying, duplication or overprinting of the text on the ticket is illegal and will be investigated and dealt with according to law.

The exhibition venue is very small. If you don’t listen to the earphone guide, the actual tour may end in ten minutes. With the earphone guide, it will take about 20 minutes. Although the ticket price is not expensive, it may be disappointing for those who want to relive the show culture. But I really recommend you to listen to the tour with headphones, and I highly recommend the Taiwanese tour. Zhu Geliang’s explanation is so funny.

The exhibition area is very, very, very small… Considering its grandeur back then, they could have showcased more stories and exhibits. It's a real shame, and I hope the organizers can put in more effort to enrich it. The only plus I can think of is the surprise in the tour guide device.

You can learn a bit about the history of old performance venues, and there are interactive games related to Kaohsiung pop music to play and learn from. Both locations are in the same building, and it's quite a good value to see both exhibitions with a combined ticket.
