What to expect
- Elf Terrace: In summer, it's surrounded by lush greenery and verdant plants, with warm yellow lights dotting the woods in the evening, and a gentle breeze, exuding romance and comfort; in winter, it's covered in pristine white snow, with warm yellow lights intertwined with the pure white snow, scattered wooden cabins, and flowing light and shadow, creating an immersive atmosphere, as if stepping into a real-life ice and snow fairy tale secret realm.
- Platinum Blue Pond: In summer, it's as blue as a mirror, with clear pond water reflecting the emerald trees on the bank. In winter, it's covered in snow and ice, with the azure ice layer contrasting with the pristine white snow and withered trees. After lighting up, light and shadow merge, creating a hazy and healing effect, a perfect collision of nature and light.
- Shirahige Waterfall: In summer, the water flows dynamically and gurgles, with mist swirling around, accompanied by the crisp mountain breeze, cool and pleasant, soothing all impetuosity; in winter, the water freezes into a crystal-clear ice curtain, with rime covering the surrounding trees. The ice curtain and rime complement each other, showcasing the cold beauty of winter, quiet and breathtaking.
- Shikisai-no-Oka: In summer, a sea of flowers spreads across the 15-hectare hills, dazzling and vibrant, with different varieties of flowers blooming in succession, forming a picturesque scene with the distant mountains; in winter, it's covered in silver, with powder snow blanketing the rolling hills. You can experience snowmobiling at your own expense, galloping across the snowfield, unlocking exclusive winter fun.
- Farm Tomita: In summer, lavender blooms in swathes, with purple flower fields and colorful flower fields complementing each other. A gentle breeze carries the scent of flowers, making every casual shot a romantic blockbuster. You can also taste the special lavender ice cream, unlocking limited summer sweetness.
- Biei Christmas Tree: In winter, it stands covered in snow, a solitary tree on the vast snowfield, with white snow adorning its branches, forming a tranquil picture with the expansive snowfield and distant mountains, sacred and healing, becoming an iconic landmark in the snow country.

Reviews
We joined a one-day tour in Furano, and the itinerary was incredibly smooth throughout the day. Although there were many attractions and the pace was a bit fast, we had enough time at each location for photos and food, so the scheduling was perfectly fine. Before the trip, I saw some reviews mentioning that people might get hungry, but actually, there was food available for purchase at every stop along the way. Hokkaido's white corn was super sweet, the melon bread was fragrant and soft, and the croquettes were also delicious, so there was absolutely no need to worry about going hungry. Special praise goes to our tour guide, Chillin! The group included foreigners, Japanese, Chinese, and Hong Kongers, and she was able to communicate with everyone in their respective languages. Her explanations were clear and friendly, which created a wonderful atmosphere for the entire group. The luckiest part was that everyone in the group was incredibly punctual, so the timing at each stop was perfectly managed, with no delays at all. Our guide also gave us tips at each attraction on which souvenirs were worth buying, which were inexpensive, and which offered good value for money, which was very practical for those who struggle with shopping! Overall, this tour offered great value for money and is highly recommended for anyone who wants to visit multiple classic attractions in one day.
Our tour guide, James, was very professional and enthusiastic about helping the group with their needs. The weather forecast for Furano predicted intermittent sunshine and rain, so we waited until the day before to confirm clear skies in the afternoon before deciding to book the tour. A one-day tour solved many of our transportation and itinerary planning worries. If you're comfortable with a packed schedule, it's highly recommended as you can visit so many scenic spots in one day. However, it might be better to condense the earlier parts of the itinerary a bit to allow more time for Farm Tomita. We arrived at Farm Tomita around 5 PM, but by 5:30 PM, we were asked to leave due to pesticide spraying. The upside was that there were fewer people, and the approaching sunset provided softer light. Luckily, we managed to get some great photos with the lavender.
Our guide was so interesting and easy to talk to, which created a great atmosphere on the bus. It also helped that the weather was perfect on the day I went, and the timing of our visits to each spot was impeccable, allowing us to see everything at its best! Plus, even though everyone brought in a lot of sand, mud, and fallen leaves, the driver meticulously cleaned the bus every time we arrived at a spot where we had a longer stay. Oh, and the soft-serve ice cream at the snowmobile location and the croquettes near Shirohige Falls are absolutely delicious!
We joined the 11:00 AM tour. It was absolutely fantastic! The weather was cool, and we enjoyed the illuminated atmosphere of the Ningle Terrace. Our guide, Chillin, shared the history and unique characteristics of each Hokkaido attraction along the way. Besides having a great time, we also made sure to savor local delicacies and do some shopping! We even saw a small amount of lavender, which is still visible after mid-August. I highly recommend this day trip!
Really really enjoyed this itinerary ☺️. I was afraid that it was going to be very rushed, but the trip turned out to be very well paced. Our guide, Chillin was so friendly and gave us lots and lots of good tips for us to make the most out of each stop which I really appreciated 💕. Even though we missed the lavender season and the weather were indeed very hot and sunny, I still really enjoyed the trip! I would highly recommend this day trip package. 👍🏻
This was a great itinerary! The tour covered a good number of places that would have been impossible by public transit and without the worries and hassles of renting a car and navigating unfamiliar roads. Even though we were a full bus tour, everyone was very respectful of each other and arrived on time to leave for the next point of interest. Lucy was friendly and engaging. Her sense of humor made the time in the bus pass quickly. She provided interesting information on all the areas we visitors and gave useful tips on how to maximize our time most efficiently. At first look the it may seem like the itinerary is rushed, but we were very happy with the pace of tour and felt the time was just right at each locale. Even though there was a delay by the eatery at lunch (restaurant’s fault), Lucy kindly reassured us and waited patiently for everyone to receive their lunch. Tip: use cash at ticket machine. Don’t use the QR codes to pay using credit card.
Today, our family of four thoroughly enjoyed the one-day tour to Aoiike (Blue Pond), Shirogane Blue Pond, Shirahige Waterfall, and Shikisai no Oka. Our tour guide, Aoki, was excellent. His English was very fluent, his voice was pleasant, and he explained the itinerary clearly. He managed the time perfectly and was happy to help group members take beautiful photos. If you're visiting Hokkaido independently but don't plan to drive, and you want to see these four locations, I highly recommend Aoki's one-day tour. It offers comfortable and clean transportation, a professional guide like Aoki to plan the route, and recommendations for local snacks, allowing you to easily enjoy a rich and fulfilling itinerary.
Our tour guide, Jenny, provided an excellent experience. She gave very detailed explanations that helped us understand the local culture. She spoke Chinese, English, and Japanese exceptionally well, and assisted us smoothly with any questions or issues we had. Seeing the vast lavender fields was incredibly beautiful, and the Ningle Terrace was a very special place!
Despite the rain, I still had a wonderful time from this trip. Our tour guide, Mr. Andy, was so kind enough to take my pictures since I was all by myself. While on the trip, he gave so much insights about Furano and Biei. Overall, he is a great tour guide. Thank you, Mr. Andy for all your hardwork.
Aoki was amazing!!! She was knowledgeable, funny, helpful and a great photographer!! Allocated time per stop was perfect!! Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Hokkaido.
