Kaohsiung Moon World & Meinong Folk Village & Qishan Old Street & Pier-2 Art Center One-Day Tour

the trip was very comfortable and enjoyable. Our guide, Stella was so funny and very helpful. Moon world and Peir 2 were the highlights of the tour. I was travelling in this tour with my mum and she enjoyed it too.

Our guide Stella was exemplary in arranging the itinerary and ensuring we had ample time at each stop. Moon world was a scenic getaway that's one of a kind, make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, as it'll be a mini hike but the view on top will be well worth it. Meinong folk village and qishan old street were also great additions, where we got to try several Hakka traditions like ban tiao noodles and the making of lei cha, things that we would've never came across/thought of, had we tried to go on our own. Stella was very informative in provide helpful details for each stop, as well as, giving pointers for what to look for, where to eat, etc. Overall, it was a very relaxing getaway, we never felt rushed and was able to explore each stop leisurely. Highly recommend, if you're looking for a quick getaway outside of the city/touristy areas.

Stella was a pleasant and informative guide, conversant in Chinese and English. It was a good experience out of Kaoshiung to explore the more scenic country side views. First stop was Tianliao Moon World, to admire the beauty of the natural landscape as well as climbing the 156 steps for the awesome top view. Next, we headed for lunch in the Meinong Market area for some Hakka cuisine. Then we went to the Meinong Lake. The serene view at the lake was impressive and it's best to go right after noon as the bright sunlight will yield awesome photos for memories. Shortly after, we headed for the DIY Lei Cha session at Meinong Folk Village. This was one of the highlights since you will have to grind the ingredients to make the Lei Cha, a team effort. Cold and hot style was available. Then we headed to Qishan Old Street. Typical night market vibes but a decent place to explore, lookout for banana cakes, a unique point at Qishan. Finally, you will drop off at Pier 2.

The stairs leading up to Moon World are under construction, so you can only go part of the way. It seems to be lit up at night, so I think it would be even more impressive if you came then. Afterward, the tour takes you to the Folk Culture Village and Qishan Old Street, and finally drops you off in Kaohsiung's Bay Area. This was a great tour because it covered a route I couldn't have done on my own. Our guide arranged a Lei Cha (pounded tea) experience for us at the Folk Culture Village, which was a wonderful experience. In the Bay Area, they also showed us where SunnyHills is located. The guide provides a lot of information, but while walking, it's more of a self-guided experience, so I think it's more enjoyable if you do some research beforehand.

Our tour guide Stella is very nice. she explain everything. The tour is great. Everything is on schedule. Combine between Nature and culture. Also have hakka traditional tea experience. Good for family with children.

This was my first time traveling to Kaohsiung on my own, so I booked a one-day local tour. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there were only 7 participants that day, so the group rode in a 7-seater vehicle. The tour guide, Albert, was great and able to take care of the different guests. There were 3 of us from Hong Kong, 2 from Australia, plus 2 from Taiwan, and we all got along very well. I was very surprised by the scenery of Moon World, because the sun was strong that day, so the photos turned out very beautiful. At Meinong Folk Village, we also experienced making Hakka tea together. I was very satisfied with the whole trip.

Moon World is a place worth visiting and taking pictures because you can experience natural phenomena. Meinong Lake is picturesque, and in good weather, you will see the reflection of the mountains and clouds. At the Meinong Hakka Village, be sure to try Hakka Lei Cha (ground tea). This tour doesn't involve too much walking, it's relaxing and suitable for all ages.

If you're looking to experience stunning natural scenery and local culture, this program will satisfy you. They kindly explain everything in English and approach you with friendliness, asking about your difficulties first and taking care of them. I was healed by the beautiful nature.

The Moon World is not that big, and since there weren't many people that day, we finished touring it faster than expected. Our tour guide, Mr. Lin, then took us to Qishan to eat delicious ban条 (flat noodles) and stroll through Qishan Old Street. We also visited Meinong Folk Village. Since we were returning to Kaohsiung earlier than scheduled, Mr. Lin added an extra stop for us: the Shoushan Observation Deck, where you can overlook the entire city of Kaohsiung. Finally, I want to give Mr. Lin a thumbs up. He always said he didn't want us to walk too much, and he always accommodated us by letting us get on the bus at the shortest walking distance. I'm very glad to have met such a considerate tour guide this time.

Great value! Our tour guide, Mr. Zheng, was very thoughtful. He introduced us to the local scenery and cuisine along the way. The fruit at Meinong Market was sweet, delicious, and very affordable. The Hakka ban tiao noodles nearby were very authentic. The DIY Hakka Lei Cha (pounded tea) was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it wasn't the rainy season yet, and the weather was hot, so we couldn't fully appreciate the beautiful scenery of Moon World.
