Kyoto: Nijo Castle Admission / World Heritage Guided Tour

Our tour of Nijo Castle with Naoya was an incredible experience. He was very professional, spoke excellent English, and explained the history of the site in a way that was both clear and engaging. The location itself is breathtaking, and having such a knowledgeable guide made it even more special. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and truly great value for money. Highly recommended!

it was just our own group so we were able to go through the tour easily, Naoya-san had some great tidbits of facts regarding Nijo castle.

Perfect tour guided by Wajad who was very well prepared on the story and events of the pal . Nice to know the history of Japan and its emperors and samurai. just keep in mind that the location you receive by mail takes you to gate 2, which is wrong , you have to search for gate n 1 exit , just on front of the palace

Great tour with Dan. Love his straightforward explanation of the sites within the castle. As much as I enjoy the fluff of myth and legend, it was nice to hear the actual reasoning behind the traditions and symbolisms. Also provided great recommendations for food after the tour.

Tour guide: Naoya gave us a very detailed introduction, including the historical background of the shogunate era and the story of the Tokugawa shoguns. It was a very interesting and wonderful experience!

tour guide was very nice and knew a lot about the castle. we felt like we learned a lot more with our guide than we would have learned by walking around alone.
