Reviews summaryGreat and smooth tour. Our guide Jack is very friendly and helpful. Tour was very well organized and timely managed. It really helped us see beautiful places to visit in Kyoto. Would highly recommend this tour.
The Kyoto day trip was totally worth it! The tour guide, Cali, was a joyful person and gave us a lot of insights about the history of the places we visited. She also gave amazing restaurant recommendations and was patient and helpful with everything! Our bus driver was great and helped with loading and unloading the stroller multiple times as we were traveling with a 4 year old. Seamless transfer and pick up service despite the evening rain. Great team and a great tour! 10/10 recommend you try it out!
Amazing day tour and special shoutout to our tour guide, Cali! She was amazing and was so quick to respond when it comes to any queries. She even recommended food spots for lunch which was absolutely amazing! Thank you again and definitely the best tour guide, thanks Cali 💯
Today, I participated in a Kyoto day tour, and the overall experience was very satisfying. I especially want to commend our tour guide, Chris, who is an excellent guide! The guide was very attentive, and the itinerary was well-organized, catering to the needs of every group member. The day before the trip, he proactively contacted each participant via WhatsApp, WeChat, or Line to provide a brief introduction to the itinerary, ensuring we could easily find him at the meeting point the next day. The guide was fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese. Whether explaining the itinerary, sharing stories about attractions, or assisting with questions, he was very smooth and extremely friendly to all travelers. During our tour, there was a very selfish group member with a child who was loud and eating on the bus. The guide handled them professionally and, when there were fewer people around, kindly advised them to observe Japanese etiquette. The way he handled the situation was ideal; it prevented the family from disturbing other passengers without making them feel embarrassed. Even with some uncooperative tourists in the group, the guide maintained professionalism and patience, keeping the overall atmosphere of the tour relaxed and pleasant, which is truly commendable. Furthermore, the guide was very knowledgeable about Kyoto's history and culture. His explanations along the way were rich and interesting, not only taking us to see the sights but also helping us truly understand the stories behind each attraction. We gained a lot from the experience. I highly recommend this tour and our guide, Chris. If my friends come to Kyoto in the future, I will recommend they book this tour through Klook and hope they can also join a group led by Chris!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Best day tour experience Nijō Castle and Fushimi Inari — was an absolute highlight of our entire Japan trip, and so much of that comes down to one person: our tour guide Niko. Niko is simply exceptional. Fluent in English, Mandarin AND Japanese, he effortlessly connected with every single person in our group. But it's not just the languages — it's the way he brings each destination to life. His knowledge of Japanese history, culture and local fun facts is incredible, and he shares it all with such genuine enthusiasm that you hang on every word. He walked us through every site with care, made sure no one got left behind, and created this wonderful atmosphere where strangers became friends by the end of the day. I made new friends on this tour that I would never have met otherwise — that says everything. I will 100% be booking another Klook tour and I will be looking out for Niko. If you're on the fence — just book it. You will not regret it. 🙏🇯🇵
An extensive and worthwhile tour of all the major sights across Kyoto. We found Christ to be an entertaining, yet insightful tour guide, who was able to elaborate on Japanese culture and history to give us context to what we were visiting. He was very clear with his directions for meet up points, and was able to take great photos of all in our tour group, despite having to wade through the immense number of tourists at times. Nonetheless, the weather was perfect on the day, and we were able to see all the sights in all their sunny splendour!
