We booked the Deluxe Double Room and it was a great choice! The staff are very accommodating, room is clean and serviced daily and the bed is super comfortable. Location is convenient and best of all, it has a bidet (a big plus for us Filipinos!). Definitely happy we stayed here.

Hotel is very well-located, right next to Ximen MRT Exit 5. Not much of a view, but the room is well appointed, the beds and pillows are comfortable, Bathroom was spacious enough, with clean towels, bathtub and good water pressure. Hotel has a left luggage area we used to store our luggage after checkout for a few hours while waiting to leave for the airport. Lots of eating places and convenience stores nearby so no issues getting food and drinks. With Ximending just a few minutes walk away, shopping was a breeze as well.

Hotel Papa Whale is fantastic! Great location near Ximending and the MRT, making it super convenient to get around. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. The staff are friendly and attentive, always making sure anything used in the room is promptly refilled or replaced. Love that they provide free coffee sticks and water every day, small touches like that make a big difference. Definitely a comfortable and convenient stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable — just a short walk to Ximending and very close to both the MRT and bus stops, making it super convenient to explore Taipei. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the generous snacks and drinks available in the snack bar — such a nice touch after a long day out! The free self-service laundry was also a huge plus, especially for longer stays. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with a thoughtful gift, which made our stay even more special. Overall, everything from the location to the amenities and service exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Taipei!

The location is very accessible to mrt station and very fair rental fee.

We stayed here for 3 nights and I can say that this is a good hotel for a budget travel. The place is near to the Ximending and Ximen station which made it easier for us to go to places by trains and even by bus. The location is sorrounded by covenience stores like 7/11 and family market , theres also a cosmed store beside if ever you need to buy medicines and personal care. Overall , the room we stayed doesnt have a window but the place is clean and mostly very wide for us to put our things and to move. Theres even a bathtub that I enjoyed after walking for all day. We checked in 3 am because of our flight and the lady at the information was accomodating to us, she can also soeak good english so it easy for us to ask questions. I think the only downside is the building of the hotel. The building was already old and there are other establishements inside like restaurants and bars so the elevator smells cigarette but functioning well.

highly recommended! it was literally in the heart of ximending where all the shops and restaurants are there. the bed and pillow were soft, it was cold inside the room, perfect for their comfy blanket. the place was always clean.
