Things to do in New Taipei

It was quite cold for us, so good thing we had puffer jackets and warmer clothes. Wear comfy shoes, dress in layers, and bring a rain jacket or umbrella.

We had a great lantern experience in Shifen and booked through Happy Lantern. The photos and videos taken by the staff were amazing, we loved every single one of them. They really knew how to capture the best moments. We also appreciated that they let us be the ones to release the lantern ourselves, which made the experience even more special and meaningful. Highly recommended!

I had such a fun and informative time on the Yehliu, Shifen, Pingxi, and Jiufen bus tour with the UK guide~ Even the long travel time felt short thanks to the UK guide's fun explanations and stories. The travel time didn't feel boring at all, and it felt like we arrived so quickly that we were already saying "Already here??" Thanks to you, my whole family had a satisfying bus tour. The family photo you took at Yehliu Geopark turned out so well. Thank you. I'm posting this late review after returning to Korea because I was busy with the travel itinerary~

We bought the ticket on the spot, right before taking the train itself. Very convenient. The train ride was normal, but at least we didn't have to hike up there. The waterfall was just a short distance from the train station.

The hotel is very posh and the facilities are relatively new compared to the others. love the serenity of the public bath, with options ranging from 24 deg to 44 deg. they even have a monthly special. They also have a salt scrub room on top of the usual sauna. I feel like going for the public bath offers better value than going for thematic rooms as such but of course individual preference matters. The condition of the individual bathrooms can be improved.

Taiwan can get quite chilly in the winter, and it's so nice to soak in a hot spring when you're traveling and feeling cold. The scenery is beautiful too. They were considerate enough to let us in 10 minutes early because we had kids, and up to two children can enter for free (height restrictions apply).

Amazing view of the resort on top of the mountain, was mesmerized how it was constructed and the view going to the top, seeing the water falls & lots of trees. Truly an amazing experience. Cable car ride was also smooth, it can accomodate how many persons per ride and yet feels safe. They also have boat ride that can try for 30minutes.

A trip to High 5 Amusement Park is definitely worth it! The park offers a wide variety of attractions, from thrilling roller coasters to family-friendly rides, making it perfect for visitors of all ages. The environment is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful, which makes you feel secure. The dining options are also good and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed their themed shows – the atmosphere was lively and fun. The only minor drawback is that it can get crowded on weekends, and you may have to wait in line for some of the more popular rides. However, overall, the experience was very enjoyable, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to relax and have some thrills!

It's located right after you get off the bus. There's also a Seven-Eleven near the bus stop, so you can buy anything you forgot. You can borrow bath towels and towels. If you don't have any preference for brands, there are shampoo, conditioner, and body soap available. To use the bathtub, you must wear the provided shower cap. You can enter naked without a swimsuit. There is no waiting time for the large public bath.
