Alcazar of Segovia tours

Join the Toledo and Segovia tour, which includes admission tickets to the Alcazar and Segovia Cathedral. It also features an optional traditional Spanish roast suckling pig lunch (can be added later) and a stop to visit the city of Avila. Departure is at 07:30 AM. The tour guide, JJ, was extremely informative and provided very substantive commentary. Upon arriving in Toledo, the bus stops for panoramic photos before heading into the city for a walking tour. Because we had to mind the schedule, it felt a bit rushed. We stopped at a souvenir shop to watch a craftsman demonstration (no pressure to buy) and use the restroom. After that, we headed to Segovia to see the aqueduct, followed by lunch around 2:00 PM. (If visiting on a weekday, I think you could skip the meal-inclusive option and easily dine at regular restaurant prices instead.) Next, we visited the Segovia Cathedral and then the Alcazar. Finally, we stopped to see Avila, starting with a panoramic viewpoint as usual, followed by a city walk. The guide provided great information the entire time, which was wonderful. Once finished, we returned to Madrid around 8:30 PM. It was a truly worthwhile day that covered all the highlights. However, I recommend keeping in mind that this tour involves a lot of walking. Some areas are sloped or have uneven surfaces, so you should wear shoes and clothing suitable for extensive walking. Since the tour moves at a fairly fast pace, elderly travelers with limited mobility may want to reconsider.

Alejandro was very helpful throughout the entire trip. At the meeting point on Gran Vía, he gave clear instructions on where to wait, making everything easy from the start. Even though he had to repeat information several times, he remained patient and professional. During the bus ride, he shared interesting facts about the places we visited and even showed us news articles on his phone, which was a thoughtful extra effort, especially on a Sunday. The trip from Madrid to Segovia was well-guided—he showed us the aqueduct, the Alcázar, and other picturesque spots while sharing useful details about the city. He also recommended good restaurants and suggested visiting a free museum, which was a great tip. Alejandro was polite, respectful, and attentive to the group, making sure everyone was comfortable and informed, including giving time for restroom breaks. Overall, he did an excellent job, and I would gladly join another tour with him in the future.

The morning check‑in was very comfortable. While other tours were registering outside, Big Bus had a proper office with seating and restrooms, which made the start of the day much smoother. The coach was large, clean, and extremely comfortable for just 11 guests, and the driving was careful throughout. Danny was truly exceptional—warm, friendly, and full of engaging explanations at every stop. His guidance made the entire day feel safe, relaxed, and far more enjoyable than anything I could have experienced on my own. Thanks to him and our driver, the tour was meaningful, smooth, and wonderfully organized. Tour guide Anelore was very enthusiastic and provided detailed explanations of historical stories. She even took us to try a delicious roast suckling pig at Restaurant Lazaro in Segovia. Later, when our visit to the Segovia Castle was delayed, she went to the service center to handle the issue and secured our entry. She is a very responsible tour guide.

Carlos our tour guide was great very knowledgeable. The bus was clean and comfortable and thank god for ac. I wish it would have been longer to explore the castle and explore more of the city. Otherwise great tour. Segovia is a beautiful place will def return.

These are two places that are not easy to visit in a single day, but I had a well-organized and great trip. Guide Khan kept things interesting and engaging with appropriate humor and deep knowledge.
