Things to do in Sam Poh Tong Temple

First of all, please note that the tour is from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM (the stated time of 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM appears to be incorrect). I participated with my daughter. As we were not staying at a hotel, we departed from the Starbucks in front of Berjaya Times Square at 7:30 AM sharp. Due to it being the first day of a long weekend, the traffic was terrible. We arrived at Kellie's Castle at 12:00 PM. At 1:30 PM, we had lunch consisting of chicken rice (steamed and boiled), steamed bean sprouts, and fried tofu with oyster sauce. Everything was delicious and easy to eat. At 2:45 PM, we arrived in Old Town. After exploring, we had white coffee at OLD TOWN at 3:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, we arrived at Perak Tong Cave Temple. Afterward, they dropped us off at our accommodation. We were worried because the journey there was delayed significantly due to terrible traffic, but we were taken to all the scheduled tourist locations as planned. We were very satisfied.

Thank you to our guide, "CK TAN," for leading us on a wonderful day trip to Ipoh. Throughout the day, "CK TAN" was friendly and easy to talk to, making us feel completely comfortable. He made the historical explanations interesting. The bean sprout chicken he recommended for lunch was delicious, and the stroll down the souvenir street followed by the dessert, Funny Mountain Soya Bean, was fantastic. On the way back, he even recommended a delicious Klang Bak Kut Teh for a great dinner. Thank you, tour guide, for the wonderful day!

The trip to IPOH was so much fun and relaxing, thanks to our guide and driver, Benny. who took us around and ate some tasty foods. Benny was kind enough to engage with us and we talked and laugh non-stop during the trip.

Our guide Anson was very nice and professional. He took to a couple of extra spots which was not in the itinerary so we could see more of Ipoh. We enjoyed the chicken rice and “hor-fun” lunch too.

It was located about two and a half hours away from Kuala Lumpur. The buildings were very beautiful and the streets were pretty. The old history was intact. The guide, Ahmed, was very kind and drove well! It was a fun trip.

Our driver, Ooi Jin Sun (Ken), provided attentive service, took us to many hidden gems, and shared a wealth of background information about the attractions, making it a very rewarding experience.
