Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is conveniently located next to Takayama Station. You can walk to the Showa-era Takayama Old Town in 10 minutes, and then go to the Miyagawa Morning Market the next day. The rooms are large and well-equipped, and the kitchen supplies and washer/dryer are convenient!

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is very good. The room is spacious with a private onsen and separate air conditioning. Parking costs a small fee. There's a welcome drink of beer or orange juice. Breakfast is good and standard. It's quite far from the train station and the city, but it's peaceful.

Fantastic 5.0
A very new and clean hotel, close to the Takayama Bus Terminal, within a 10-minute walk. It's very convenient for taking a bus to Shin-Hotaka or Hirayu Ski Resort. The room with two beds for two people is spacious, and there is no problem opening suitcases. The front desk staff is friendly, and the hot spring pool on the 9th floor of the hotel is clean and comfortable. The lounge is also very comfortable. Enjoying the grilled mochi and hot cocoa provided by the hotel is very heartwarming in winter. Because I booked before the opening, the price was very favorable. I highly recommend staying at this hotel in Takayama! Cleanliness: Excellent Breakfast: Fewer varieties but delicious Service: Excellent Hotel Location: Near Nohi Bus Terminal, very convenient for people without a car. Transportation Convenience: Excellent

Fantastic 5.0
Hotel location: Only a few minutes' walk from Takayama Station/Nohi Bus Center. Cleanliness: Very clean. Service: The lobby staff were always smiling and patiently assisted us. The only drawback: The washing machine cycle was too long (at least 1 hour), and with all 6 machines in use, the waiting time was extremely long. We had to constantly check for an available machine.

Fantastic 5.0
Good location with many restaurants and eateries nearby. It is also an easy walk to the central tourist area. The hotel is located three to five minutes from the Takayama JR Station and bus station, so it is convenient for you to get around. The staff is friendly, the room is clean, and breakfast variety is fantastic! They also offer daily supper, either sweet or savory, for the guests. There is also onsen (public bath) in the hotel.

More about Takayama hotels

Staying overview

Takayama’s hotel prices stretch from budget-friendly rooms up to much more expensive luxury options — the top tier runs about 6.5 times the cost of the most affordable. For most visitors wanting a balance of comfort and value, premium properties offer the best trade-off between price and quality.

How the hotel classes compare and who they suit

Economy rooms sit at the low end and are noticeably cheaper than the others, appealing to travellers prioritising cost over extras. Standard rooms step up from economy with more comfort for a modest increase in price, making them a sensible choice for many travellers. The premium tier represents the best value and is where the biggest jump before luxury occurs; it suits those who want better amenities and space without the large premium. Moving from premium to luxury is the largest price leap, so luxury rooms are mainly for travellers who prioritise top-end comfort and are prepared to pay substantially more.

When travellers from Malaysia typically book

Rates are lowest in 9月 and highest in 10月; if you’re on a budget, planning for travel in 9月 usually fits better with lower nightly rates. Rooms here are commonly booked about 40 days in advance, so Malaysian travellers often secure rooms more than a month ahead, and this tends to be even more the case for stays in pricier months.
