Transport in Taichung

The Taiwan High-Speed Rail is truly impressive — fast, efficient, and incredibly convenient. Traveling between cities was a breeze, and the trains arrived exactly on time. The seats were spacious and comfortable, with plenty of legroom, clean interiors, and smooth, quiet rides that made the journey relaxing. Buying tickets was simple, either online or at the station, and the staff were helpful and professional. I appreciated the clear signage and easy boarding process — everything was well-organized and designed with travelers in mind. What stood out the most was the speed. In just a short time, I was able to travel across Taiwan without any stress from traffic or long delays. It’s the perfect transport option for both tourists and locals. Highly recommended for anyone traveling around Taiwan. Efficient, reliable, and world-class — the Taiwan High-Speed Rail exceeded my expectations!

I purchased the Ubus ticket from Klook again, route 1623 from Taichung to Taoyuan Airport, which is much cheaper than buying it at the counter. Simply have the ticket agent scan the QR code before boarding to select a departure time and reserve a seat. If you have large luggage, you can also ask for a luggage tag and place it in the lower storage compartment of the vehicle. The ride is very smooth and safe, very affordable and convenient.

I had fun exploring Southern Taiwan with this 3 day pass. Very easy to use, it comes with a booklet that you'll get from the HSR counter. You can book your HSR in advance through the website, can even change your time of departure when you go to the counter. My accomodation is in Taipei and the day trips in Taichung and Tainan was just a breeze. HSR also provides free shuttle bus between HSR station to the main city, just research for the bus number. You have to go through the staff at the gates to pass through, they will inspect the booklet. I'll comeback to explore more of South Taiwan!

Hope this info will help any international traveller going from Kinmen (Shuitou Pier 水头码头) to Xiamen (Wutong Port 五通客运码头) 1) Collect ferry ticket from the left most counter (i.e. i海台已附款取票柜台) at Shuitou Pier 水头码头 2) The ferry tickets can only be collected between 30 and 70 minutes before departure. 3) Security and immigration clearance only starts 60 minutes before ferry departure 4) Luggage will be kept in the luggage rooms within the ferry, but unlike the Kinmen side, you'll need to find and claim your luggage before exiting the ferry! Remember to fill in the physical Arrival Card for Temporary Entry Foreigners (photo before) either provided during the ferry trip or at Wutong Port, as you'll need the card to clear the immigration at Xiamen

very convenient, tho this is more expensive than the actual but if you want to save the hassle of communicating (they tend to misunderstood), feel free to purchase and enjoy 😊

We have so much fun and memorable experiences in Hong Kong Disneyland, even though we haven't experienced the Momentous due to the incident that happened last November 27. Hopefully, next time we come back will have the chance to get to.

When loading our luggage, he proactively asked us about the order we wanted it placed, ensuring it would be easier for us to retrieve. What was even more surprising was that he spontaneously offered to take photos for us during the trip and even let us use the vehicle as a prop for taking memorable pictures. We are truly grateful! Just rented the car and got into an accident within 10 minutes, feeling pretty helpless. Immediately called to ask how to handle it, and the shop responded with attentive and detailed instructions. When I brought the car over to have the mechanic take a look, he was super helpful and easygoing. Will definitely rent from there again next time! 👍
