Erika helped me throughout the entire process she’s very sweet and speaks a bit of English. I picked the high end package and paid extra there for the better accessories I wanted but the package came with some lovely choices.

Very beautiful selection of yukatas and kimonos. The staff was very friendly and polite and was very professional in dressing me and doing my hair. The best part is everything is already included in the price (hairdo, hair accessories, bag and shoes). Will definitely be back again when I visit Kamakura again! ❤️

It was wonderful to be able to wear a kimono and have my hair styled. It was a little disappointing that there weren't many types and patterns of kimonos available. However, the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to, so I would love to use this service again if I have the chance. Thank you for the great memories.

The tea ceremony felt very authentic and real. We loved that it was smaller and not so commerical and touristy. it was a little hard to find the location, but we figured it out. Would absolutely recommend.

I did my tour with Serina and she is an absolutely lovely person that gives it at least 110% effort in order to make the journey as pleasant and as smooth as possible for everyone. I usually dislike tours like this to be honest, as the itinerary is either bad or tour guide not managing the group well enough in order for everyone being on time. Serina managed all of that excellently though and I would choose to travel with her again for sure. Had a great day, thank you Serina!

This was my first time joining a one-day tour, and I was very nervous before we left, worried about getting a difficult guide. The day before departure, Klook provided us with the guide's information and contact details, and the guide answered all our questions, which put my mind at ease. Since there weren't many participants, our group was a combined Chinese and Korean tour. Our guide was amazing, speaking Japanese, Chinese, and Korean fluently! During introductions and explanations, sometimes he'd speak Korean first, sometimes Chinese first, showing no favoritism, which was fantastic! Besides doing an excellent job with his guiding duties, he also gave us little tips for traveling in Japan, like where to eat, the best places to shop, and must-buy items. He was truly a five-star guide! This wonderful guide was Kim Myung-cheol, and I highly recommend him!

It was my first time seeing fireworks from the sea, and it was truly spectacular; the fireworks were beautiful. I'm so glad we chose the boat tour to watch them. We were the fourth group to board, and we easily found an excellent viewing spot. The weather was clear, and we could see very bright stars from the sea without any light pollution. Another highlight of this trip was seeing bioluminescent plankton (blue tears) in the ocean – I was so happy! The weather was cool and comfortable during our visit. Mr. Sakuragi's commentary and explanations of the attractions along the way were very detailed, and he helped us complete a wonderful journey. Thank you.

What to know before visiting Kamakura

Overview of Kamakura and what draws visitors

Kamakura is a compact coastal city known for its outdoor attractions, cultural experiences and short tours. Klook booking patterns show the city has a clear annual rhythm, with demand peaking in spring and much lower activity in late summer and early autumn.

Best times to visit and how prices move

Klook data shows demand peaks in April and drops to a trough in August and September. Prices, however, are relatively stable through the year: Klook bookings indicate August tends to be the priciest month while May typically records the lowest average prices. Travellers seeking smaller crowds and generally lower prices should consider May or the quieter late-summer months, while those after the full peak-season atmosphere should plan for April when demand is highest. Overall, demand and prices do not move perfectly together here — the busiest month is not the most expensive.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most visitors from Malaysia typically book about ten days ahead, with many last-minute bookings possible up to a couple of days before. If you prefer flexibility, a short-notice trip can work for many tours and experiences; if you want to travel in April, aim to plan roughly one to two weeks in advance to secure popular activities on Klook.
