There was a lot of excitement surrounding the theme park before it opened its doors on 15 September 2012, mainly because Legoland Malaysia is the first international theme park to set foot in Malaysia. Its official opening was graced by Sultan Ibrahim Ismail, the Sultan of Johor. Besides that, Legoland Malaysia is also the 1st Legoland theme park in Asia and the 6th in the world!

    2. It's home to the first LEGO-themed Virtual Reality Roller Coaster

In late 2017, Legoland Malaysia launched the first-ever LEGO-themed VR roller coaster - The Great LEGO® Race. The park in Malaysia was the first to bring the experience to life, followed by Legoland Resorts in Florida and Germany in 2018.
The ride combines roller coaster thrills with virtual reality (VR) technology - riders will put on VR headsets and be transported into a spectacular environment completely constructed out of LEGO bricks!

Feel the excitement and adrenaline rush creep in the moment you strap on your headset, and get ready to speed away along with sudden drops, tumbles, and twists! You'll be left wanting a second ride the moment you end your first.
