[Review] #KlookTries: We Had A 7-Course Cantonese Dinner At Pavilion Hotel's All-New Restaurant!

Jade Pavilion is Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur's all-new Cantonese specialty restaurant, inspired by the regality and beauty of traditional Chinese gardens. Housed in an elegant space with fresh aesthetics, 8 private dining rooms (the biggest which can accommodate up to 20 diners), and a common dining area with an open kitchen, the new restaurant exudes a refreshing vibe with a seamless blend of modern designs and traditional elements.

With a kitchen headed by a team of accomplished chefs, Jade Pavilion is where you can indulge in authentic, pork-free Cantonese cuisine from freshly-made dim sum to exquisite dishes such as traditional Beijing duck, double-boiled soups, golden fried Hokkaido scallops, braised sea cucumber, and more.

The grandiose of Jade Pavilion begins from its entrance - the heavy doors open up to a red carpet-lined pathway that leads up to the main dining area, with private rooms lined on each side of the corridor. Every element and small feature that has a place in the restaurant has obviously gone through much thought - from the elegant centerpiece flower arrangements at each table to the beautiful embroidery at the back of each chair and the intricate floral and natural interior elements that dot the space.

We dined in the privacy of one of their private rooms and had a delicious 7-course dinner from their Muhibbah menu, an iftar special curated for the season of Ramadan. The Muhibbah Dinner Set consists of 7 dishes and a side of kurma to start your meal with.

From Crispy Marinated Village Chicken to Pan-Fried Beef Tenderloin and Golden Fried Barramundi Fish with mango slices and spicy plum sauce, every dish on the menu was cooked with authentic techniques and full of flavour. The crowd-pleaser was hands-down the Imperial Seafood Hot & Sour Soup that tasted as delicious as it looked!

Just when we thought that dinner was over, the servers asked if we were ready for dessert! They cleared our table and presented individual servings of chilled mango puree with bits of pomelo and strawberries, topped with caramel cream cheese! It definitely ended our meal on a sweet note.
