This Japanese-Fujian-style building, which had gone through a prosperous time with Dadaocheng, fell into silence and decay when the rice milling and wholesale business ended in 1952.

Today, after four years of meticulous restoration, the rice shop has been restored to nearly 90% of its original appearance. In 2016, the Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs designated it as a historical building, and Yeh Chin-fa Co., Ltd. has injected innovative energy into the historic site with the main themes of complex rice guided tours, experiences, food culture, and event cooperation. The concept of combining exhibition and sales is used to reproduce the splendor of the former rice mill, allowing visitors to deeply experience the culture and life implications of Taiwanese rice in a unique complex space, and to see the historical splendor and architectural beauty of Yeh Chin-fa's business.
