What to expect
A Hot Air Balloon Cairns vehicle will pick you up from your hotel for a classic scenic hot air balloon flight. Watch the balloon inflation and rise over the Atherton Tablelands with rainforest-fringed mountains and tranquil landscapes on a 40-60-minute flight, spotting local wildlife. After balloon pack-up games, transfer to Skyrail Smithfield Station and enjoy a 1.5-hour journey with stops en route to Kuranda. Explore the town and its cafes (own cost) before boarding the Kuranda Scenic Railway, stopping at Barron Falls for photos, before ending at Cairns Central Rail Station.

Watching the sunrise from a hot air balloon is tiring because you have to wake up so early, but the whole atmosphere is exciting. The scenery from the cable car is beautiful, and if you look closely, you might see parrots. The vintage train is cute and also worth experiencing.
Our driver Mike was fantastic both as a driver and entertainer. Pilot Frank and co-pilot Brian were super duper experienced and ensured we had a great and safe flight. Properly enjoyed it! Definitely a highlight of our trip.

Enjoyed Kuranda attractions and markets, some activities are additional costs so research interests beforehand. athe Scenic railway was also great way to end the day with nice stops for pics. Great experience overall.
