Fantastic 5.0
This journey has been an amazing experience for us family. We love it so much. BTW, we are from Malaysia. We purchased combo ticket together for whale watching and taronga zoo as it is much cheaper and hassle free. So whale watching must be on the list while visiting sydney. we never regret booking with captain cook cruise. They are very professional. The cruise ship is big. The tour guide is very friendly. They are expert in catching whale. we can see humpback whale tail for almost 4 to 5 times.. It's better than never. Overall I give 4.5 /5 ⭐ . Truly recommended for those who are excited for whale watching as it is lifetime experience. thank you KLOOk for this awesome itinerary. thank you captain cook cruise for this unforgeable memory.

The Location of the office for Captain Cooks Dinner Cruise to claim actual ticket is just across king wraft 1 where the boat is located for the Dinner cruise. fast and easy to claim the ticket they will just ask you about the confirmation code issued by klook. There are assigned seats and table upon board and there are assigned servers to take the guest’s orders . Each guest are allowed to choose 1 starter 1 entree and 1 dessert . They also provide free bread roll and butter.. Drinks are availble but not included in the paid package so you have to pay upon order. The sail was smooth and it was a good weather . There is also a stop in circular quay where other guest boarded. We will definitely recommend trying dinner cruise at Captain cook . Good service . Great staff .

Fantastic 5.0
We were on a small sailboat, which felt way more intimate and cozy than the bigger boats. They provided snacks and drinks on board, making the whole trip super relaxing. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, and while I’d highly recommend sitting outside for the best views, definitely bring a thicker coat to block the cold wind! Our guides were lovely—they shared so many interesting facts about the coastal landmarks and helped us take plenty of amazing photos. I’d definitely join this again on my next visit to Sydney!

Great 4.0
The buffet lunch onboard the boat was good and generous. However, the boarding information provided need to improve. Name of company operating the cruise or the vessel name was not given. Furthermore, boarding informed at Wharf 2 but boarded vessel at Wharf 5 instead. Overall a pleasant experience except for the initial confusion caused by the boarding information provided.

What to know before visiting Sydney

Sydney at a glance: what most travellers book

Sydney draws a steady stream of visitors keen on zoos & aquariums, tours and cruises, with outdoor activities and attraction passes also popular. Demand peaks in June and dips in February, giving the city a clear high-season rhythm that shapes when people visit.

When to visit: crowds versus prices

Klook bookings show June as the busiest month and February as the quietest. Prices on Klook trend highest around August and drift down through the autumn and winter months, reaching their lowest typical level in June of the following year. For smaller crowds and generally lower prices, aim for February or the shoulder months outside June; if you want the peak-season atmosphere and don't mind busier conditions, plan for June. Note that peak demand (June) does not line up with the priciest month (August), so crowd levels and prices move differently across the year.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most travellers from Malaysia typically book activities about six days ahead, with some booking as late as the last minute and others as early as a few weeks out. If you need flexibility, many popular experiences—zoos, tours and cruises—can still be booked a few days before travel, but consider locking in must-do tours earlier when visiting in June.
