I had great experience visiting Alishan National Forest Recreation Area through a Klook joiner’s tour led by Eric Lin, an excellent English-speaking tour guide who handled a group of nearly 40 guests with ease and professionalism. He shared Alishan’s rich history and culture throughout the scenic trails, making the trip enjoyable even for seniors. Mr. Lin knows exactly where and when to take beautiful, Instagram-worthy photos, and he also provided Klook badges with a printed Alishan map. What impressed me most was his tour-guide strategy of stopping at specific points along the trail to share key facts and carefully check attendance before moving forward—ensuring no one was ever left behind. Complimentary sweet bread and bottled water were also provided, and all logistics such as tickets, meals, and restroom breaks were stress-free. The optional lunch pack (NTD 120) was healthy, hearty, and delicious. Overall, the experience was fun, relaxed, and truly professional. Highly recommended!

This was a very well-organized trip. I wasn’t expecting much and this exceeded my expectations. From the confirmation whatsapp messages to answering my questions, the tour operator was quick to reply and understood what I was asking (in English). The day before, you are put into a large whatsapp group and everyone going on the tour is blasted messages to let them know which transfer vehicles they will be boarding. Different drivers and guides appear along the way. An information package with vouchers, maps, and the itinerary are given out the moment you meet your first driver. Large luggage are driven up to the hotel, the train ride up Alishan was fun and beautiful in an old swaying train, and upon arrival there is someone waiting to pick you up. Timings of when to be back are verbally given out, use a translator app if you cannot understand. Watch your timings. There are a lot of people waiting for the sunrise train, you get an option to switch to a bus to go to another location too.

The guide was excellent! We met at the First Bank at 9:00 AM and then drove for 3.5 hours to Alishan, with a few stops along the way. Once we arrived in Alishan, we had lunch and then began exploring this beautiful forest together. The guide knows this vast forest perfectly, with its rich history and numerous trees. Around 3:30 PM, we enjoyed some teas grown in this beautiful forest. We started our return journey around 4:00 PM and arrived back in town around 7:30 PM. I 100% recommend this guide, who is kind, an expert in his field, and we had a lot of fun together. We were a group of four, which made for a great sense of camaraderie. Thank you again, Mr. Guide!

We had an amazing experience with Apple Tour Guide on our trip to Alishan Forest. Apple was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire day smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. He shared interesting facts about the area, nature, and local culture, and made sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. I can’t recommend him enough.

Going to Alishan was an incredible experience! It was so much easier having the transportation and hotels sorted through the tour. I hope to be back soon! Our guide Joanna was incredible! She was really welcoming, answering our various questions about the area and about Taiwanese culture in general. She went above and beyond, introducing us to local delicacies and taking us to see the sunrise in Taichung on the way back to Taipei!

honestly the 5 stars are for our tour guide Ken Huang and driver Sam Wang. both were so informative and kind. The places we visited were amazing but these two made it better. We were so fortunate. The 5 star hotel accommodations were also amazing

Tony was absolutely the best tour guide we could have asked for on this trip! The drive to Alishan involves some winding roads, but he drove so smoothly and safely that we felt completely comfortable in the car. He is a fantastic conversationalist who kept us entertained during the long drive, and he really knows his way around the Alishan forests. A highlight was when he took us to a quiet village to have lunch and watch the train pass by—a spot we wouldn't have found on our own. He even brought his own camera and shared high-quality photos of us and the scenery afterward. I was traveling with my senior parents, and Tony was incredibly patient and made the entire experience easy for them. We highly recommend booking him for a group tour!

smooth travel from Taipei to Taichung~ we get to visit the Capoo House and Foamcat Cafe. Enjoyed Miyahara and Old Taichung Station which also has another Foamcat Cafe. We really enjoyed our day trip!

We took the 7322C Alishan route bus from in front of the Chiayi Railway Station. We originally missed the 8:10 AM bus, so we had to wait for the 8:40 AM one. Unexpectedly, the bus arrived at 8:30 AM. Passengers with physical tickets were allowed to board first, followed by those who scanned their QR codes, and finally passengers using EasyCards. It was a Saturday, but luckily there weren't many passengers in the morning, so my travel companion and I were able to sit together. After arriving in Alishan, we were also able to enter the Forest Recreation Area smoothly with our QR codes. For the return trip, we took the 3:40 PM bus. There were noticeably more people heading down the mountain, and my travel companion and I were forced to sit separately. However, if we didn't take this bus, we would have had to wait until 4:10 PM, so we settled for it (the last bus was at 5:10 PM). We arrived in downtown Chiayi as the city lights were coming on. The ride up the mountain took about 2.5 hours. Although the mountain roads were winding, the driver was experienced and drove steadily, allowing us to relax and enjoy the scenery or take a nap. Overall, the bus service was convenient and suitable for travelers who don't want to drive themselves.
