Hotels in Yilan

I appreciate the hotel's efforts to arrange the requested room type and preferred floor level. The welcome drinks and snacks in the lobby were a thoughtful touch, and the seating area was spacious and comfortable. Almost every staff member provided excellent service, making for a very pleasant overall stay. On the morning after check-in, I suggested to a restaurant server not to be too quick in clearing the table. The next morning, I noticed the server had clearly adjusted their pace, which shows the hotel listens to guest feedback and makes improvements, and that's commendable. However, the hotel's parking lot entrance and exit are located in an alley near a fork in the road, which can easily cause congestion when vehicles are entering, exiting, or passing each other. I recommend the hotel arrange for a guide during peak hours of vehicle traffic. The default temperature of the in-room refrigerator was not cold enough; drinks and food placed inside felt like they were at room temperature the next day. The bathroom drainage design might not be ideal, as water from the shower could splash towards the bathroom door, or soap suds could spread to the door's edge. Without a sufficient threshold, water could easily overflow into the room. I also suggest clearer labeling for the toiletries; for example, the hand soap and lotion by the sink were clearly labeled. Finally, a small suggestion regarding power outlets: since many electronic devices today charge via USB, I only observed one USB charging port in the room. I recommend installing USB power outlets near the bedside, and it would be even better to have one by the sofa as well.

My wife suddenly said her back was aching and she wanted to go to a hot spring. She just casually Googled this incredibly luxurious hot spring hotel, and oh my goodness! It was very comfortable to stay in, and we'll definitely come back again if we have the chance.

The hotel's location is a bit far from the city center, but it's quite close if you're going to Wufengchi Waterfall. Regarding the facilities, my personal opinion is that the first time you visit, it feels like navigating a maze (for example, getting to the parking garage elevator and then to the room floors involves a long detour and switching elevators multiple times). Some areas require a long walk, which feels very inconvenient (but this was likely designed this way from the start, so not much can be changed). Also, the B1 facilities are great (like the pool table and massage chairs), but there are too few of them, leading to many people waiting. Lastly, the pillows in the room are too flat, causing neck pain (if you're used to thick pillows, you might need to bring your own). So, I'm giving it four stars, but overall it's pretty good (the room is very clean, the staff are very friendly, parking is easy, and the breakfast selection is rich, etc.).

The Lakeshore Hotel Yilan is a bit out of the way, and if you don't have your own car, transportation isn't very convenient. There aren't many shops nearby either. Compared to other Lakeshore hotels, it lacks hot springs and sauna facilities, which is a bit of a shame. The breakfast is excellent, but the evening snacks are quite ordinary.

Breakfast: There were many delicious options, but the flow of traffic was not ideal, and the restaurant space was small, leading to congestion. Service: The staff were all very friendly. Hotel Location: It's a bit far from the main street, but generally within a 10-minute walk. Cleanliness: Excellent. For a hot spring accommodation, having a dehumidifier is a very important detail. Transportation Convenience: There's a large outdoor parking lot, and it's not too far to walk to the train station or transfer station. The location is great.

I was looking forward to my stay, and it was a wonderful inn, just as I imagined. I was able to relax in nature, and it was a lovely stay. I was happy that the staff who spoke Japanese were so kind and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, just as rumored, and I was very satisfied. I was really looking forward to dinner, but I was disappointed to learn that they only serve hot pot now, which has been the case for several years. Shopping at the center was also fun, and I'm glad I came to this hotel.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the hotel this time. Although the hotel is a bit far from the station, they offer a shuttle bus, which is quite convenient. The room was very spacious, and the accommodation package included many activities. We could try on yukata, go zip-lining, experience making wagashi (Japanese sweets), do DIY crafts, enjoy the public bath, and even see cute animals. The activities were very enriching, and we wouldn't get bored spending the whole day in the resort. There was also a late-night snack available. The staff were all very kind and enthusiastic. Overall, it was a lot of fun, and I would like to visit again.

We stayed on the eighth floor this time. We had mentioned it was our anniversary when booking, and to our surprise, there was a special little surprise in the room. Although the room wasn't very spacious, the hot tub was large and very comfortable. The room included yukata (robes) that you could change into before heading to the large public bath on B1. Breakfast was average.

Upon check-in, the staff diligently explained the operating hours for various facilities, but there were so many that I couldn't remember them all. I had to call the front desk again to inquire. I suggest providing a small card with the room key as a reminder, or allowing guests to take a photo during check-in. The room size was perfect for two adults and one child. The day before, the front desk called specifically to confirm guest information, and the amenities were prepared correctly. This was very thoughtful. During our stay, it rained heavily, and the shuttle service between the hotel and the annex was very convenient and considerate. The service staff were also very polite and patient. All facilities met our expectations; the breakfast, in particular, was unexpectedly good! The only suggestion is to add more children's facilities for a perfect experience. 😊
