Transport in Taipei

smooth travel from Taipei to Taichung~ we get to visit the Capoo House and Foamcat Cafe. Enjoyed Miyahara and Old Taichung Station which also has another Foamcat Cafe. We really enjoyed our day trip!

The EasyCard (悠遊卡) is an essential, rechargeable contactless smartcard for traveling and shopping across Taiwan, particularly for Taipei MRT, buses, and convenience stores. Costing ~NT$100 (excluding balance) at MRT stations, 7-Eleven, or FamilyMart, it provides discounts on transport and operates on a 20-year lifespan.

Super convenient and worth it! The unlimited pass made getting around Taipei easy and hassle-free. No need to reload or worry about fares—just tap and go. Perfect for visiting multiple spots in a day, and pickup/redemption was quick. Great value for tourists exploring the city.

I had fun exploring Southern Taiwan with this 3 day pass. Very easy to use, it comes with a booklet that you'll get from the HSR counter. You can book your HSR in advance through the website, can even change your time of departure when you go to the counter. My accomodation is in Taipei and the day trips in Taichung and Tainan was just a breeze. HSR also provides free shuttle bus between HSR station to the main city, just research for the bus number. You have to go through the staff at the gates to pass through, they will inspect the booklet. I'll comeback to explore more of South Taiwan!

I was very satisfied with my trip from Banqiao to Jiaoxi on the Kamalan Bus! The reservation process was simple and convenient, the seats were comfortable and spacious, and the driver drove smoothly and arrived on time. The vehicle was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning was just right, making the entire journey very comfortable. The price was reasonable, making it easier and more environmentally friendly than driving myself. The customer service staff were friendly and patient in answering questions. Overall, it is a good choice for traveling between Taipei and Yilan. I will choose this service again for my next trip and recommend it to friends who need to travel between Taipei and Yilan!

service: Mr. Kevin is very polite, he would open the door for me and my husband all the time. He is also very informative, and has a lot of Taiwanese trivias. He is very enthusiastic in taking our pictures and never rushed us in our sight-seeing activities. One thing I'll never forget is when he dropped us off at our final destination, he said "next time you come back to Taiwan, I'll have baby seat ready". 😊thank you sir Kevin! seat reservation process: super easy just get your tickets at the counter using the QR code. Back and forth tickets will be provided at the counter so keep your return ticket with you price: very affordable transport included: good value for money. the driver at the airport even helped us put our luggage in the bus compartment. Although in the Taipei bus station, the driver did not helped us with our luggage at all lol

Once inside the terminal, check at the desk to see which ship is checking in. Show them your passport and Klook code, and they will take your passport and give you a ticket. It's convenient to book this way, which is great, but when I checked the ticket, it was 750 Taiwan dollars. Even if you calculate it at roughly 50 won per Korean currency, it's about 37,500 won, so please note that you have to pay a little more. For reference, you can sit anywhere on the boat after boarding, and there are restrooms inside. When I boarded, there was almost no shaking, so there was no seasickness at all.
