Fantastic 5.0
We are a group of five senior friends who traveled to Chengdu and Chongqing. Klook travel designer Charley meticulously customized our itinerary, arranging everything according to our interests and abilities, making the overall trip rich in content and comfortable. The local tour teams in both cities were also very professional. Each day, they provided advance weather reminders, allowing us to prepare appropriate attire. Both drivers had excellent driving attitudes, ensuring safety and attentiveness, providing us with several comfortable long-distance travel experiences. Thank you all! The tour guides were also professional and attentive. Nancy in Chengdu and Xiao K in Chongqing gave us in-depth introductions to the local culture, history, customs, and unique attractions of each scenic spot, giving us a vivid sense of both cities and their human history. Thank you again for your care! Overall, the Klook team was very thoughtful in all aspects. Their professional service and enthusiastic attitude brought us unforgettable and joyful experiences during our 9-day trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this tour. The trip was extremely well organised and took us to many amazing areas of West Sichuan which would have been difficult to get to ourselves. Our driver Jia Wei Shi Fu was fantastic and made the long drives as comfortable and smooth as they could be. the concierge staff were also very helpful with booking our attraction tickets and extremely responsive to any questions or requests. As foreigners, we spoke only a bit of mandarin but we were able to manage using translate apps and still had a great time so I don’t think it’s an issue if you don’t speak mandarin. I can highly recommend this tour to others looking to explore this incredible part of China.

We booked this trip for five people: myself, my two children, and my mother-in-law. High-speed rail is truly a blessing for families with kids, as it saves the elderly from long, tiring bus rides. On the first afternoon, we visited Huanglong. Our guide specifically advised us to take the ropeway up the mountain and then walk down, which saved a lot of effort. In June, all the travertine pools in Huanglong were full, with colors layering from light green to deep blue. My mother-in-law kept saying she had never seen such beautiful water. On the second day, we spent the entire day in Jiuzhaigou, exploring both Rize Valley and Zechawa Valley. Every spot, from Five Flower Lake to Mirror Lake and Long Lake, was breathtakingly beautiful. The hotel we stayed at was very close to the scenic area and had plenty of hot water. The group meals offered both Sichuan cuisine and milder options, which suited the children. On the last day, we spent half an hour strolling through Minjiang Wetland Park, where the grass was green and flowers were blooming—a pleasant little bonus.

Was looking for a fuss free and worry free 2D1N tour to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong scenic area and picked this package on Klook. We were given clear instructions on when and where to meet, and were met at the Train station by our guide- 阿朵. She was energetic, really knowledgeable and friendly, her tips on which viewpoints to make time for and which are optional really helped make my experience great. We had sufficient time for all the stops, it did not feel rushed. For context, 我是来体验的,不是来打卡的。Both scenic areas were really gorgeous, do take the time to just admire. And as promised by our guide 阿朵,this tour had no forced shopping. Tip: take the cable car up to the Huanglong scenic area. it makes the visit much easier especially for older folks/people who are less mobile.

Three days to explore three major scenic areas, allowing children to broaden their horizons and adults to relax without getting tired. The itinerary pace is reasonable, with manageable daily travel times. Our spacious 'first-class land cabin' ensures a comfortable ride without motion sickness. The boardwalks in Jiuzhaigou are gentle, allowing children to enjoy the lakes and waterfalls at their own pace, keeping them fully engaged. At Huanglong, we take the ropeway up and walk down, saving energy while still experiencing the spectacular colorful ponds. At Siguniang Mountain's Shuangqiao Valley, we use the full-route sightseeing bus to get up close to snow-capped mountains and yaks, which the children particularly loved. The 4-diamond hotel accommodation was comfortable, and there was no forced shopping throughout the trip, which was quite nice.

this tour was amazing and exactly as detailed! There are extra fees as stated, but there’s tix for a local performance that is optional but very much recommended cuz it’s quite culturally enlightening. the comfy bus was v smooth and our tour guide 张晶晶导游 was so lovely n friendly. she had a way with words, incorporating questions that others asked into her group speech so everyone knows the details. she also told us many little details ie when to suit up for the cold, medications to take, how to adjust for the higher altitudes etc, things that I didn’t find when I was researching; I’m so grateful I decided to take a tour😮‍💨 There’s absolutely no pressure to buy anything, in fact we bought lots of snacks to share with each other and especially our tour guide, cuz she’s awesome and a crazily skilled photographer🤩🤩 love that she doesn’t smoke as well tbh, extra win imo Going in Apr means everything wasn’t as colorful BUT a lot less crowded too hehe~ might go again in Nov for the colors

Initially, I was a bit worried because there weren't many reviews, but the tour operator was really proactive and helpful with instructions. Our driver was fantastic - friendly, supportive, and a very skilled driver. He handled all the ticket purchases and helped us with our luggage. He frequently checked in to make sure everyone was comfortable also. Although the long drive was tiring, it was absolutely worth it. Bipenggou and Dagu Glacier are stunning! Dagu Glacier is a hidden gem, the sightseeing bus stops at several great photo spots, and the views from the cable car and the mountaintop cafe are breathtaking. The hotel provided was clean, modern, and spacious. While breakfast was poor, the location was perfect - right next to Dagu Glacier, making our second day very easy and enjoyable. Even though I originally booked a large bus tour, the operator changed us to a small group of 3 because there weren't enough people, which made the trip even more convenient. Highly recommended!!!

Many thanks to the travel agency for their professional arrangements. The itinerary was well-planned, making the entire trip worry-free and smooth, leading to an excellent overall experience. I especially want to commend our driver, Master Xiao Li! Our tour guide, Master Xiao Li, was truly outstanding! He meticulously planned everything, drove skillfully, knew the routes well, and ensured a safe and comfortable journey. He proactively helped us with our luggage and enthusiastically recommended attractions and routes in Western Sichuan, sharing many practical and interesting tips. At each stop, he carefully reminded us of important details. He was responsible, reliable, and punctual, making our trip incredibly easy and enjoyable. Thank you very much! This trip was excellent, almost like a private tour, as our group only had two people. The driver, Xiao Li, provided great service, even helping us take photos. We communicated via WeChat and a translation app. Thai people can definitely use this service, as I didn't find many reviews from Thais. We got an SUV with water and oxygen canisters. The hotel was clean and up to standard. We could ask to stop anywhere (additional charges applied depending on the agreement). However, on the last day, we were unlucky and didn't get to see the snow-capped mountains.

My friend and I booked this trip, and we chose this itinerary specifically for the Genyen Secret Realm. First, let's talk about the accommodation, which is often a primary concern. The 'Comfort' package was quite good for a high-altitude region. The night in Genyen Town, in particular, was simple but clean, better than we expected. The reverse-route altitude design was indeed traveler-friendly; we acclimatized at Mount Siguniang before heading to higher elevations, and we didn't need oxygen tanks at all. Genyen in June is incredibly beautiful – meadows, streams, snow-capped mountains, wildflowers; every view is postcard-perfect. Moshi Park is truly magical, like being on another planet. The weather cooperated perfectly at Yuzi West this time, and we saw the golden sunset over the mountains, which everyone cheered for. Our driver-guide was very experienced, knew the best photo opportunities at each spot, and even helped us secure good vantage points. There were no shopping stops throughout the trip, so all our time was spent enjoying the scenery. My advice is: bring good sunscreen and lip balm, drink plenty of water, and take your time.

What to know before visiting Ngawa

About Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture

Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture is a destination known for cultural experiences, scenic parks and gardens, and guided tours — bookings here show a pronounced seasonal rhythm. Demand peaks in April and drops sharply around August and September, while tours, parks and cultural activities make up the bulk of what travellers book.

Best months to visit and price patterns

According to Klook booking data, demand is highest in April and lowest in August and September, so expect the liveliest atmosphere in spring and much quieter conditions in late summer and early autumn. Prices, however, peak in July and are typically lowest in January, so the most expensive month (July) does not line up exactly with the busiest month (April). For lower prices and smaller crowds, consider visiting in January or September; if you want peak-season atmosphere go in April. Note that prices fall after July and remain comparatively low through the winter months.

Tips for travellers from Hong Kong

Travellers from Hong Kong typically make plans a couple of weeks ahead, with many bookings made around two weeks before travel and the majority finalised about a month out; last-minute flexibility is possible within roughly five days. If you plan to travel in April or July, allow extra lead time to secure popular tours and cultural experiences. Consider booking Klook activities in advance to lock in options and avoid disappointment.
