Whether you plan a day trip or a longer stay, Takachiho Gorge offers a breathtaking escape into nature that you shouldn't miss on your trip to Japan!

The tour guide Xiao Tan is very nice! The biliterate and trilingual expressions are great and very funny. The trip is very tight, visiting several scenic spots, with enough time to stay and take photos at each one, and also time to buy gifts at the souvenir shop. We also gave souvenirs to each participant on the return trip, which was so thoughtful! I had a lot of fun and was very fulfilling at the end of the day. It is recommended for non-self-driving travelers to spend a day here to save time on arranging transportation! You can also meet other foreign friends :)

The tour guide Xiaoshi is kind and professional, and his explanations are very clear. The trip time was just right. There was probably a traffic jam on the return trip, so we didn’t arrive in Hakata until about 18:30. Buy one get one free, it costs around 1,000 per person, very cost-effective.

Very worth a visit, although the drive is slightly longer, but the view is very beautiful, however there is no place to eat, it is recommended to bring some snacks

A day trip to Takachiho Gorge in autumn is easily the highlight of my trip to Fukuoka. The tour bus departed on time and the guide, Chen Yun, was cheerful throughout the trip. She spoke little English but was especially attentive to those who are travelling solo. She even arranged a private van to take me to the Takachiho earlier than the group when she learned I a confirmed time-sensitive booking for the boat ride! What a thoughful gesture. The time alloted for each activity was just right. This itinerary involves a bit of hiking and I wouldn't particularly recommend it to those with toddlers and/or elderly with limited mobility. All in all, highly recommended!
