Things to do in Sanmachi Suji

The views were unreal and the trip was very worth it. The trip was very relaxed and we didn't feel like we were not rushed on time. The personnel were very professional and top notch. Our guide Yogi was very accommodating and very knowledgeable. Our driver Kaori-san was very cheerful. I would recommend to take this excrusion rather than a do-it-yourself trip to Kamikochi. Everything was hassle free and well worth the price.

Yuko San is amazing. She’s knowledgeable, attentive and professional. She gave us important background of the places we go without boring us and answered every question we posed. She knew I was collecting stamps, so always reminded me when there’s one. The driver who eventually dropped us in Kanazawa was also the nicest!! I couldn’t recommend this tour enough

Great value for the price! Perfect for first-time visitors to Shirakawa-go and Hida, offering a good introduction to these two beautiful and classic Japanese destinations. Note that the Hida Old Town morning market completely closes down by 11:00 AM, so for a more in-depth trip next time, arrive earlier to explore it. You can leisurely stroll through the lively Hida Old Town attractions in about 2 hours, taking your time to eat and enjoy the experience. Shirakawa-go is supposedly beautiful in winter, but be aware that the parking lot needs to be cleared by 5:00 PM. Many people also take the bus to and from the village. Next time, I'll look for a day trip to Shirakawa-go.

Excellent tour and experience although it did rain all day but still our guide did her best to make it interesting. I really like Shirakawa-go which is Unesco Heritage Site. Nice tradional japanese village with traditional houses in the middle of a valley. Although I didn’t had a chance to get to observation deck, I still manged to climbed halfway overlooking the village. Hida Takayama is also an interesting and historic place. I liked the history and art museum. The food there are great but a bit pricey just like in any other touristic places.

I chose to join a hassle-free day tour to Takayama and Shirakawa-go this time. It's actually perfect for people who are too lazy to do research, don't have much time, but want to travel a bit further.

The price-performance ratio is very good. It takes a long way from Nagoya to reach the above three attractions. The tour guide knows Japanese, English and Mandarin, and there is no language barrier throughout the trip. If you don't join this local one-day tour, you won't have the opportunity to go to Gujo Hachiman Castle.

Beautiful night tour with lots of explanations, the guide is very friendly and gives good advice for booking a restaurant.

we had great fun learning the ropes of a ninja from our hosts; they're not only patient, approachable but also encouraging when we attempted our shots. Great experience that tourists should try out too! :)
