Things to do in Sanmachi Suji

An acquaintance in Japan recommended this tour, so I stumbled upon it and ended up joining on short notice right before my trip. I was worried at first because it was rainy, but it turned out to be a truly satisfying tour. Shirakawago and Takayama were great, but personally, Gujo Hachiman, which we visited last, left a particularly deep impression. Rather than a flashy tourist spot, it retains a quiet, cozy, old Japanese atmosphere, making it great for a leisurely stroll and taking pictures. Guide Lee Young-min kindly took care of everything from meeting up to transportation and schedule guidance, so it was nice to comfortably tour multiple areas in a single day. In particular, at Gujo Hachiman at the end, I wandered around slowly by myself for a bit and took photos, and it was the most relaxing and memorable time of this trip! The atmosphere seems like it would be completely different in another season, so I would love to join again in the winter. Thank you so much for creating such wonderful memories.

This was an incredible tour with a chance to taste foods specially to Takayama. But, more than that I’d was interesting to learn about the history and culture of Takayama and the region as well as Japan. our tour guide was Harry. He was so knowledgeable about the food, culture and history. He imparted this information in a friendly easy going manner. He answered all my questions and more. What a fantastic experience! This was my first time joining a Klook day tour abroad. The night before the trip, seeing the pre-departure instructions sent by the tour guide via email made me feel much more at ease. Throughout the journey, our guide, Mr. Wang, fluently introduced the attractions and provided various reminders to travelers in Chinese, English, and Japanese. He was very professional! The entire itinerary ran very smoothly, and the timing was perfectly managed. Although Shirakawa-go in the summer doesn't have its classic snow-covered scenery, the lush green landscape offers a different kind of beauty.

On the way to Shirakawa-go, we stopped by Takayama Old Town to enjoy the festival atmosphere and had a wonderful time in beautiful Shirakawa-go. Thank you to our guide, Yukino, and our driver for your kind guidance and safe driving.

Florina was amazing! our family had her to ourselves. she was extremely knowledgeable about the 2 sites we visited and answered all our many questions. her perspective on Japanese culture as a foreigner who has lived in Japan from 2001 helped us understand Japan so much more deeply. and our whole family just liked her! she engaged with each of our young adults. this tour was so much more than I had hoped for. thank you Florina!
