experience: definitely a good place to trek to but for experienced trekkers, since there’s no proper trail.
safety: must wear good trekking shoes, trail is a mix of small rocks and sand, difficulty is for more experienced trekker; trek will take at least 2 hours; trek inclination was too high
instructor: agus was his name :) such an experienced trekker and helped us pushed throughout the top
equipment: bring trek sticks, water, and jacket it is very cold
location: in case of difficulty, there are motor bikers who can carry you up 10-20 mins before the summit; you should haggle and the safest price is at least 250,000 IDR per person
note: if you can’t trek, better rent the 4x4 :) THE HOT SPRING IS A GOOD ADD ON I SWEARRRRRRRRRR

Unforgettable trip, everyone from driver to host were amazing and friendly. Nano was a great host and very respectful. Accomodations provided were nice amd clean, locations were just breathtaking no words can define the experience.

Th joined this sunrise hike expecting to join a group, but it turned out to be a solo experience—and it was still great. I was picked up around 2:30 AM by my driver, Mertha, who was friendly and considerate, letting me rest when he noticed I was sleepy.
My guide, Puto (not sure of the spelling), was very attentive during the hike, always checking if I was okay. At the summit, we had a simple breakfast (bread with banana filling, a boiled egg, and a drink). Unfortunately, the sunrise was foggy since it was the rainy season, but the hike itself—especially the return trail—was beautiful.
We also stopped by a coffee plantation for tea and coffee tasting. What made the experience special were the peoplethe caring guide and the meaningful conversation with my driver on the way back. As a solo traveler, that personal touch really mattered.

Our trip started with a visit to a coffee plantation before the hike, where we were treated to free sampling of different flavours of local coffee.
The hike itself was rewarding and the scenery breathtaking. Initially, the weather was quite cloudy when we reached the summit, so we were a little worried about missing the sunset. Luckily, the clouds cleared just in time and we got to witness a stunning sunset that made the entire trek worthwhile.
One of the best parts was avoiding the usual crowds, as most people come early for the sunrise hike. This made the experience more peaceful and enjoyable. Our guide Suarditya was very experienced and expertly guided us up and down the mountain at a comfortable pace, ensuring everyone’s safety throughout the hike.
Our driver Mang Yus deserves special mention for his outstanding road knowledge — he navigated the entire long journey confidently without needing GPS, combined with careful driving that kept us safe and comfortable throughout.

We had such a wonderful experience joining the Mount Batur Hiking Tour! Everything was smooth from start to finish, and we really want to thank both Leo (our driver) and Katut (our mountain guide) for making the trip extra special.
Leo was super friendly and knowledgeable — he didn’t just handle the pick-up and drop-off perfectly, but also went out of his way to show us extra attractions like a coffee farm and a lovely local Bali restaurant. He shared lots of interesting facts about Bali (did you know all the produce and veggies grown here are fully organic?) — it made the ride feel more like a mini cultural tour!
Our guide Katut was equally amazing. During the hike, he told us stories about the mountain, made sure everyone was doing okay, and even took some really great photos for us at the top.
The view from Mt. Batur was absolutely breathtaking. We were so lucky because the weather was perfect.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bali! 😊

Krisnaa is a really good guide. Our trip to Alingaling Waterfall was totally relaxing and easy all thanks to him. He carefully introduced every spot and precautions, told us some jokes, and he is very responsible. My travel buddy and I love taking photos, and he helped us with photos patiently. He planned our itinerary well, never rushed us and was very gentlemanly. He gladly agreed to all our requests. What matters most is that he guides you to do the right moves in an encouraging way rather than helping you take shortcuts. I actually learned quite a lot of professional knowledge during the trip, maybe. Also, Krisnaa has a nice figure. Well, he is just one year older than us but seems mature and professional. He can perform many difficult moves and is willing to show them to you.

Andrik our driver and Ketut our guide were great! She got us to and from our hotel very quickly despite heavy traffic. The hike was difficult but Ketut was very helpful,, taking photos for us and helping me to climb difficult and steep parts of the route. 10/10 Reccommend this hike.
