Fantastic 5.0
Our itinerary started with watching the sunrise, and everyone received a hot drink and a snack. Since the sunrise viewing spot was quite crowded, we had to walk a bit further to find a good place for photos. After the sunrise, we went to hike the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta. It was very windy along the way, but the scenery was stunning, and we were constantly awestruck by the valley. Afterward, our guide took us to two more viewpoints where we could see Kata Tjuta from a distance, and it looked beautiful against the blue sky and white clouds.

Fantastic 5.0
The day tour of Uluru is really interesting and amazing. The tour guy Yda is a really knowledgeable and professional tour guide. He will text you before the day of the tour to make sure the pick-up time and you will also receive an email a few days before the tour. Just a reminder, you need to purchase the park pass ($35) by yourself, which is not included in the tour since April. During the tour, they were told that some places are sensitive sites, so they couldn’t take a photo in that field because it is an Aboriginal secret area. The cultural center also does not allow taking pictures inside. The dinner offered BBQ, but the flies are everywhere which is a little bit annoying, but the sunset was beautiful! Overall is a fabulous journey!

Getting up close to the rock was one of the highlights of this trip! Michael, our tour guide, is the best! He shared a lot of interesting stories and facts about Uluru. The banana bread during the sunrise picnic was so good too! 👌

Transfer arrived on time and provided interesting commentary along the way. Plenty of stops for breaks and to see some of the sights.

What to know before visiting Yulara

Quick snapshot of Yulara and what to expect

Yulara is a gateway for tours and outdoor experiences, with most bookings focused on guided tours that let you access the surrounding natural attractions. Demand rises and falls through the year, with a clear winter peak and a quieter late-year trough shaping the rhythm of visits.

Best months to visit and how prices move

Klook booking data shows July is the busiest month while December sees the lightest demand. Prices swing across the year: they are typically lowest around March and reach their highest in April, so price peaks and demand peaks do not perfectly line up. If you want smaller crowds and lower typical prices, consider travelling in March or the quieter late-year months; for full peak-season atmosphere aim for July when activity is highest.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Most travellers from Australia typically book about three weeks in advance, with a useful window for earlier planning and the option to secure last‑minute plans roughly four days out. If you plan to visit in July (the busiest month), lock in popular tours earlier; for shorter, more flexible trips you can often book closer to departure. Use Klook to compare typical tour options and timing so you can match the experience to your schedule.
