What to expect

There is only one Uluru. This full-day guided tour from Alice Springs or Ayers Rock Resort gives you the complete experience — walking the ancient base, understanding the living culture of the Anangu people, and ending the day with a BBQ dinner and cold drinks as Uluru’s colours deepen and shift at sunset.

Travel with Emu Run’s expert guides, who bring Uluru’s stories to life at every stop — from the Mala Walk, where Tjukurpa (Dreamtime) narratives are painted into the rock itself, to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, a permanent sacred spring tucked into the southern face of Uluru.

The highlight is a relaxed BBQ dinner with beer, wine, sparkling and soft drinks, enjoyed as the sun sets on Uluru and an unforgettable day.

i booked sunset tour via klook too, but this is much better. For those with 2 nights in Uluru, my recommendation is to book stars glazing for first night and this trip for day 2. Enjoy.

Getting to Uluru from Alice Springs is a long journey in itself. Try to experience the uncanny workmanship of nature in the sparsely populated Australian desert, and enjoy the rich Aboriginal mythology shared by the tour guide. It will definitely make your tired mind and body feel more fulfilled~

The guide was very passionate in all day. BBQ was also nice and enough to get full for every people. Our guide explained a lot about this area in even the bus. I would like to say thank you to my guide. Sunset was the most beautiful in my life. I felt I was in the middle of the world. That was so special feeling to me.

Tour was fun and informative and packed in many spots within the day. Breakfast provided at a pit stop was yummy. Highlight was the BBQ at the end of the day in full view of Uluru in the sunset. Tip: Bring along cash if you want to buy the Aboriginal art work from the local artists.

We started from Alice Springs, and although it was a long distance of 9 hours round trip, the bus was comfortable and good. It was a long journey, leaving at 8am and arriving at 1am. If you don't want to travel long distances, you can also start from Ayers Rock Resort, so you can choose depending on where you are staying. (It takes about 20 minutes from Ayers Rock Resort.) The view of Ayers Rock at sunset was fantastic. The barbecue dinner was also very delicious.
