Taichung Day trips

Our guide, Alisia, was excellent, providing a soft-spoken and friendly tour. She guided us in both Chinese and English, with 14 years of experience and a calm demeanor. She even sang for us, creating a wonderful atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday by bus and learned that the Hinoki (cypress) trees are truly massive, and Alishan is an incredibly vast mountain. Since it's an all-day journey, we recommend bringing snacks. Of course, there are food stalls available along the way.

Having Sophie as a tour guide was great! she was very entertaining and she knows a lot of details about taichung. we enjoyed the tour very much. this is a must! so make sure to book this tour if you want to explore more on the countryside.

had a wonderful time without having to think so much. this tour made my travel a lot more convenient. shared a chinese meal with strangers. the tour guide, Dunken, is also funny and very attentive. overall, it’s a great taichung experience

⭐ Absolutely we loved Klook Taiwan tour! ⭐ Our guide was fantastic—super sweet, great sense of humor, and kept everything so organized we didn't have to worry about a thing. Ease of locating the meeting point and although there is no tour guide provided on this day tour, it is very self-sufficient. The tour to Sun Moon Lake is enjoyable with lots of food choices. But for those who would like to explore the island by cable car, ferry or the bus, this half day tour may not be enough. The other half day is to visit a chocolate factory, stopover for donuts at a cafe and a visit to Paper Dome.

Our driver, Yang, picked us up right on time and picked up 3 other people. Our group had 7 people in total riding in his Mercedes Benz. Super comfy. We had 2 stops before heading to Alishan. 1st was short and we saw a guy walk over firecrackers. 2nd, we had a bento lunch with the mountain view. We finally made it to Alishan Park. The roads were windy and bumpy so if you have motion sickness, be prepared with medicine or saltine crackers. It's a long ride into the park. Yang took us around the park & showed us the best places to take pictures. He took photos for us and sent through Whatsapp. He even made a video for us as a keepsake! He also brought us to a tea farm afterwards! The ride back was also hard for those with motion sickness, but I made it. Yang dropped off the other passengers and he even dropped us off at another location since we didn't want to go back to our hotel yet. He was the best! We loved Alishan!

Would have been better if the guide can speak in English (specifically chosen English speaking guide in Klook) nevertheless he’s still trying his best to communicate thru one of the guest who can speak English. He would consistently offer taking a photo during the trip.

Mr. Lai is the best tour guide for this trip. He is professional, kind, and he makes the trip feel fun. He knows the best spots, and he even has the red card prop. He is a good photographer with flattering shots. He is considerate of our situation, like if there’s a need to go to the toilet, eat, etc. His car is comfortable too, good air conditioning and sitting. He uses his phone to communicate effectively when needed. Above all, he played F4 songs when we were entering the university! He made the experience really, really fun and memorable. He also made sure to airdrop the photos he took with his phone, right after the first stop. Thank you so much, Mr. Lai!

The tour was great. The tour schedule includes essential tourist spots in Taichung. It's a half-day tour, so you could visit Shenggang Village in the morning before joining. Gaomei Wetland is really windy, so I'd recommend anyone with long hair to tie it up before visiting. Although it's a half-day tour, the itinerary is well-packed. It was great that the tour included places I wanted to see in Taichung, so I didn't have to visit them separately. Since the tour started in the afternoon, I also had time to explore Shenji New Village near the meeting point. The weather was good, so I enjoyed the beautiful scenery overall. Even though it's an English and Chinese-speaking tour, they played a Korean translation for us, which made the experience even more comfortable. The wind at Gaomei Wetland is strong enough to spin the wind turbines. I recommend that women with long hair tie it up. Am I the only one who thinks of G.O.D.'s 'Road' when walking through Gaomei Wetland?
