Our tour guide, Elena was very informative and passionate about sharing the history/ stories of the places we visited. The tour went on smoothly and fuss- free. Despite the crowd, it was an enjoyable experience!

Thanks to you, I had a rich and fulfilling trip. You explained everything so smoothly. This was my first time booking a guide during my 14-day itinerary, and while solo travel is great, having a guide definitely has its own charm! :)

Bought the Trenitalia pass on Klook and got my e-ticket instantly. Activation was super easy and the QR code worked at every station from Rome to Venice. Trains were punctual, clean, and comfortable. Having unlimited travel saved me so much vs buying single tickets and let me do spontaneous day trips. Klook’s customer support was also responsive when I had a question. Best way to explore Italy by train!

I arrived about 30 minutes early and waited, but since others had written in reviews that they wouldn't let you in until the last minute, I took pictures and killed time around the area. However, when I went back 10 minutes before the start, I was able to get in smoothly without waiting! It didn't seem like they were particularly strict about the timing. I think it's convenient to print out your ticket and keep it handy, but mobile tickets on your phone are also perfectly fine!

Great tour, Favio was such an amazing tour guide, full of stories and very knowledgeable. The only thing is the meeting spot can be a bit confusing, we got lost but did managed to turn up just in time. Otherwise, enjoyable tour.

This tour is worth booking. Our guide, Giorgio, was a wonderful guide. He gave us lots of stories, showed us how everything looked during the old Roman times. He explained every detail of the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill and the Colosseum while being patient enough to answer the questions of our groupmates. Check-in for the tour was done fast and smoothly too.

What to know about Catacombe di San Callisto

The Catacombe di San Callisto, also known as the Catacombs of Saint Callixtus in Rome, is an ancient underground cemetery that was the official burial place for the early Christian community in the third century. Around half a million Christians, including martyrs and 16 popes like Pope Damasus, found their final resting place here. The catacombs are named after Deacon St. Callixtus, whom Pope Zephyrinus put in charge of managing the cemetery in the early third century. Later on, the site gained even more historical importance when Giovanni Battista de Rossi, the founder of sacred archaeology, rediscovered and studied these catacombs in the 19th century. Today, it's a popular spot to learn more about early Roman Christian history. As you walk through the dark, damp passageways, you’ll discover early Christian tombs, beautiful frescoes, and even the burial sites of popes and martyrs.
